Paul Ryan-Romney VP

Mufasa
There is a sweet spot time wise wherein his crew allows him enough time to build his vision and not too much for the opposition to tear it down. No spot is perfect, but I hope they choose it wisely. BTW, I know ALOT of very conservative evangelical Christians, MANY black, who are supporting Romney in full knowledge of what Mormonism is. Why? Because his Mormonism translates into policy, across the board, that is faaaar closer to ours than Obama’s Marxism. Just that simple. Same with myself and Alan Keyes. Or Ryan. In the United States of 2012 I am not voting for Pastor or theologian in chief. I am voting for a set of policies. Whoever most closely represents those policies gets my vote. In today’s Whitehouse I don’t care about Romney’s Mormonism or Ryan’s Catholicism if Obama’s Marxism is the alternative.

An open question in RE: to Ryan’s anti subsidy claim is supposedly supports $40 billion tax subsidies for oil but is opposed to wind farm subsidies (I can not get a number )

Lincoln was a Republican.

Every time I see this or MLK being a republican brought up, the response tends to be, “they wouldn’t be a repulican today,” or “not in today’s repulican party.”

I have no idea if those statements are valid.

Of course they’d be republian…and in fact conservative republicans at that.

There are plenty of ways to keep people down. You can enslave them in chains, or you can give them everything for free thus taking away their ambition and making them dependent on you. This is the democrats mantra.

If John Kennedy were alive today he would not be a democrat.

I dare say that not one outstanding democrat from the past would be a democrat today. The democratic party has gone so far left that they call someone like Paul Ryan who has a really good plan to fix medicare a radical. The democrats would much rather leave everything as is and continue to slide off the fiscal (and moral) cliff. If you think otherwise just look at what liberal rule has done to California, New York and other formerly great states.

Liberals truly have no answer except tax (grow the government) and hand it to other people.

When in the history of the world has that ever worked?

Should Obama be reelected it will be mostly by those dependent on the government for a hand-out. And that’s when you’ll know that we are on a slide off that fiscal cliff.

I’m really curious how people in the late 50’s and 60’s would have reacted to the “spread the wealth around” and “you didn’t build that” stuff.

I imagine the folks at woodstock would have had “we need socialism” signs like some of the people at occupy, but on a general level, I wonder what the reaction would have been.

I dont neither.

So far, getting rid of habeas corpus, detaining or killing declared “enemies” I would have said, yes, Lincoln was a Republican.

Now, with Obama and whatnot…

To think that Lincoln was so afraid of black people and yet the first black president indulges in the exact same follies he did, including crony capitalism.

This is something that boggles the mind insofar in that you can approach it from a number of ways and its still hilarious.

And when did that happen?

When LBJ signed the law he prevented as Senate majority leader for years with the immortal words that he would make sure that " those Niggers would vote Democrat for a century" ?

Was it back then?

Gotta admit though, it worked.

You really need to get your quotes straight man. LBJ said 200 years. Don’t take the man’s vision away from him. Also, if by “worked” you are referring to black people (as there’s no such thing as a “nigger”), I am happy to report that I personally know many such people for whom it has NOT “worked”. It has NOT worked because they understand that the principles that made this once great nation great know no skin color. Their self identity is eternally higher than the quantity of melanin in their skin.

The black vote is like 90% Democrat.

Numbers are skewed a bit because Obama is black, 90% is too high. I’m guessing 2004 was much much lower, like 88% or somewhere in that area.

Na, I dont.

If someone wants to think that I am racist, more power to him, I dont give a fuck.

People believe what they want to believe and it helps to find those who absolutely cannot resist that urge quickly, it simply saves time.

What I do believe though, and I have no problem with writing this down, is that people with a higher melanin content are as shallow, superficial, ignorant and downright stupid as the rest of the population.

It would be racist to think that they somehow can do no wrong because their great grandfather was a slave.

I am sorry, no, your great grand daddy could have been Ghandi and you could still be an utter moron.

Not that Ghandi was a saint either.

I’ve always wondered about what Ghandi the person was like as opposed to Ghandi the legend.
Fletch1986 wrote:

A great man, like MLK.

But, being great in one aspect of your life does not necessarily mean that you are in all others.

Especially not if all the nitwits pointing their fingers have not achieved even above mediocre status once in their lives.

Usually it is not that tragic, to change whole societies you need to be kind of a go getter and they usually do not lose that aspect when it comes to pussy.
