Hey Patricia… I don’t think I’ve seen a link to your art on here before, and since you mentioned you were getting ready for the comiccon, care to share? I’ve been curious to see your stuff for a while now, and if you’re half the artist that you are trainer, you must be freakin’ awesome!
I’ll even start by sharing one of my crappy drawings

That’s brandy from Liberty Meadows, if noone recognizes who she’s supposed to be.
Patricia’s art is REALLY cool. I’m looking forward to buying a print of the Three Ladies when the edition comes out! She also does a mean Wonder Woman!!!
Is there a URL you could point me to? eh? eh??
just curious
I don’t know it off the top of my head, sorry. I’m sure she’ll post it again when she gets back.
And if that 'shovel' coment was directed at me, you can kiss my ass. I enjoy her art work a great deal, and I already have prints of it hanging at my house.
michelle, easy there, kiddo! =) He’s referring to the drawing above in the original post. Check it out…there’s a small animal holding a garden trowel or shovel in the picture. =)
For the record, I agree: Patricia’s art is excellent!
That’s Truman, the little duck from Liberty Meadows (www.libertymeadows.com)
No issues there at all.

AMAZING Comic-Con this year, folks! It was HYOOGE. The biggest yet. Especially since there is a whole new addition to the Convention Center. Amazing. I got to shake the hand of Lawrence Makoare (Lurtz in Fellowship of the Rings). Who is really just a big teddy bear of a man. Lot’s to report - we saw exclusive footage from Daredevil, The Two Towers, as well as 35-minutes worth of footage from the Frazetta Documentary. And from what we saw, the documentary looks fabulous!! Oh my GOD! I also met some other really good artists while waiting our turn in the Portfolio Review area. Amazing all the stuff going on. Oh, and the best thing? I will be Wonder Woman! Well, I am going to be the reference model for Wonder Woman! The artist currently working on the covers for DC Comics, Adam Hughes, approached me during the Con and asked if he could use me. What was I going to say, Hell NO? he he he. Looks like Ko and I will be flying down to Atlanta sometime in October…(where Adam has a studio).
I have ALOT of new stuff to add to my online portfolio. And will be doing that today. Oh, did I get any jobs while in San Diego? Happy to report, that yes, indeed, I did. www.portfolios.com/PatriciaSmith
I appreciate the interest in my work! Thanks, a bunch!
Holy wow, great going Patricia! Congrats on being picked for the model for Wonder woman.
Not bad, nephorm. I love Frank Cho’s work. The stuff he’s done besides Liberty Meadows is really good. If you want to read up on a interview with Frank, get Sketch magazine, Issue #12. You can order it at www.bluelinepro.com.
Oh, and thanks, Michelle for the good words. BTW: I've redone the "3 Women with Big Hair" piece, via Photoshop. I'll send you another, better quality, print. From the info I rec'd from the Comic Con, I'm now moving forward and am going to be creating a whole line of "Big Hair Woman" for both prints and greeting cards. I am also turning my sequential art based on the Greek Myth story, "Glaucus and Scylla"into a children's book story - we'll see if a publisher picks it up. LOT'S to do, folks! Oh, and check my online portfolio tomorrow (Wednesday), it'll be completely updated with both improved and new stuff.
Nice to have you back! And what’s this about a Frazetta documentary? Can you give any details? I’ve always loved Frazetta’s art…
Michelle: the print of “3 Women…” is yours if you’re willing to help me out with my website. After this Comic Con, I realized the importance of putting together a website of my own. I do have a fellow creative professional, Lee Morley, assisting me with my portfolio. He’s big in the Role Playing Game art - currently working on a couple of RPG trading card lines. Check out www.leemorley.com . There is a strong possibility of us two sharing a table/booth next year at the Comic Con - as well as two other creative professionals I met at this last one. VERY excited at this possibility!!! And with that in mind, I NEED a website. And Michelle, since I highly respect you and would rather work with someone I know - well, you’re the first person that came to mind.
You and Demo should consider going to next year's Comic Con. It' d be a tax write-off for you - easy. Just another venue for you to advertise your abilities as well as just a whole lotta fun. Please consider it. Ko would especially appreciate Demo's POV on the "comic book geekiness" that goes on. he he he
Michelle, and anyone else: that is Lee MOYER. www.leemoyer.com . I get names all screwed up after a few shots of tequila. Really. His stuff is cool - and he’s one of the more professional arteests out there right now (his knowledge of Photoshop and Bryce is unbelievabe). This guy has helped me out tremendously!
Just checked out the updates on you website. Very, very cool. Congrats on being picked to be the Wonder woman model. Sounds like things are taking off for you. Remember us lowly T-mag forum folkes when your rich and famous. Seriously, best of luck!
Oh, I had been looking forward to this Frazetta documentary since I heard about it two years ago. I receive email updates from the filmmakers, so I’ll forward that to you, if you’d like.
We saw 35-minutes worth of footage at the Con. And there was a short Q&A session as well.
I saw my first Frazetta piece when I was 6-years old. That piece (his "Tree of Death" painting) propelled me to draw. Well, I was drawing already, but that piece made me want to draw more. And draw more in the sci fi/fantasy area. And I started reading up as much as possible on Frazetta. We have 10 of his books, two calenders, several trading card sets, his Vampirella #1 cover, the American Artist magazine issue with his Death Dealer on the cover - just a whole lotta Frazetta stuff at our home. I even got to speak with Ellie Frazetta (his wife) two years ago! Oh, and I've spoken to Frank, Jr. Great people.
So, you can understand why when I say that I had tears in my eyes while watching this footage. It's THAT incredible. It was some of Frazetta himself talking about Al Williamson, Roy Krenckel and Al Capp. About his mother (who's still alive and living in Brooklyn). About his love of baseball. And of course some footage showing him painting. Frazetta painting! And there will be footage of Frank in his gallery/museum giving a impromptu "tour" if you will. Yeah, at this point in this presentation my eyes were really tearing up. This was like a dream.
The DVD will be out in December (I believe that is what they said). Right now, the filmmakers have 10-hours of footage to edit down. I say, put it ALL on the DVD, dammit! Char, I would be glad to get you a copy if you can't from Japan. In the meantime, I'll forward you the filmmakers website url.
Magnus: why, thank you! You know I was already the reference model for a Batgirl graphic novel sometime ago. But, I have to say that saying "I'm Wonder Woman" has a better ring to it!
Cool stuff Patricia! Congrats on the Wonder Woman thing! That is really cool. Anyways, looking forward to seeing you guys this weekend. Talk to you soon.
Hey, great site! I like your work a lot. And congrats on gettin picked as Wonder Woman, that’s about as cool as it can get. Let me know when you and Ko are planning to be in the neighborhood (Atlanta), I’ll be happy to show y’all around.
