Wow. Lots of great info there. Yes, I would very much like to know about the DVD, so the URL, etc. would be most welcome. Thanks!
Hey, Jason: we’re looking forward to meeting you and your sig other this weekend (Sunday, right?)!
Spanky: I told Adam that we could probably travel down to Atlanta around October. Most likely the last weekend of October. But I'll be sure to let you know exactly when.
Patricia - we’ll definately shoot for Sunday night, but may have to do Monday morning. I’ll email or call you as soon as I know exactly what we’ll be doing.
Hey Jason: yeah, let us know! We’re up for either dinner or breakfast - or both!
If it was dinner, we were hoping to be able to take you to The Bomber - where they have that HUGE burger with peanut butter. But it’s a little far. Maybe next time?
Spanky: I just rec'd a email from Adam and the plans for me to head on down to Atlanta is now in the works.
Oh, and there was the usual booth of Playboy Playmates - but this time the booth was way off to the far, far left wall of the Convention. However, the Playmates didn't have a airbrush handy and looked a little worn out..(is there a pun in there somewhere?). I wonder if TC saw 'em........
Patricia—If Adam photographs you for reference, do you think you could post the pics with a comparison to the artwork he did? I know I’d personally be interested in see that.
Patricia, I just realized that I never came back and told you how awesome your stuff is! Congrats on the posing job. Are you looking to break into comics at all, btw?
tommyboy: I don’t know about that. I’ll have to ask Adam if it’s possible. What he will do is take a whole bunch of (probably a couple of rolls) of reference shots and will choose a couple of “gesters” that will eventually be used. Hell, he shares a studio with a couple of other comic book pros (one who pencils The Huntress and the other pencils Superman). I probably won’t be limited to Wonder Woman. And I know “my likeness” will be appearing in some role playing game trading cards - since a artist for those is also using me as a reference. Oh, and he’ll be using Ko, too.
nephorm: Thanks! Yup, comic books as a penciller and/or cover artist. But also, books (primarilly sci fi/fantasy) and childrens books as an illustrator. Oh, and role playing games as well. You could say that I'm ambitious!
Patricia–If you like fantasy/gaming/comic art, check out www.tommycastillo.com he works in all of those fields. He’s got some really cool and inspiring art. He also just put out a book by SQP. Do you have any sequentials or fantasy pin-ups? I don’t think I saw any in your portfolio.
tommyboy: Yeah, Tommy Castillo. It’s either going to be his book that I’ll be getting next or Brom’s Offerings book (both from Bud Plant, of course). Thanks for posting his url, though! As for the sequential art: I do have a portfolio set aside specifically for sequential stuff. I have some really strong sci fi/fantasy stuff completed. But I am currently working on three new paintings and several new B&W pieces. The paintings are of more “wood nymphs” (I have a B&W of one in my online portfolio now) and the B&W are all going to be my “Futuristic Samurai”. Or even my idea of a “Future Asia”. I’ve recently joined the ASFA (Association of SciFi and Fantasy Artists) so that I can post the sci fi/fantasy work on that site.
