Panicking About Low Neutrophils

Hi folks-

Noticed my Neutrophils were borderline low on my last round of labs.

They’ve just dropped off the bottom of the normal range.

I’ve rang the GP for an appointment tomorrow but in the meantime I’m really scared something major is wrong.

I gave blood a few months back- if I had HIV that would have been picked up on that wouldn’t it?

Whats the other possible causes? Leukemia?

Could it be all the endurance training I do?

Anyone in the know?

Prolly the donation depleted you. Get some B12 sublingual and perhaps B12 shots. How’s your ferretin and RBC? Check for Lyme disease before you jump to conclusions. Yes a blood donation will give you info on any infection or disease that would render your blood useless.

Red blood cells etc are great.

Hematocrit is a touch over 0.5 its just those white blood cells.
