Palin’s a fucking commie. As governor of Alaska, she essentially forcibly took oil drilling profits and gave them back to the people-the epitome of communism.

of course they do, thats why they are more in debt then the rest of teh country and they have more illegals there then the rest of the country and they have the highest taxes of the country, and they have the most expensive housing market of the country, and they clearly have the most bussinesses leaving their state because of crazy high taxes…

Wrong.
The practice starts with the idea that the natural resources on the vast tracts of public land naturally belong to the people of that state.
The state (in this case Alaska, but also Texas and others) lease the rights to extract the oil to specific companies.
The money from those leases goes to pay for various things. In Texas, it goes to pay for public education. In Alaska, they straight-up divide it among the population of the state and cut everybody a check at the end of the year.
Technically, the way Alaska does it is even more free market than the way TX does it, because it doesn’t make the assumption that the state congress knows better than the people what they should spend the money on.
That said, The University of Texas has a better football program. And hotter girls. So I’m going to claim victory anyways.
