so you think mayweather or pac could beat williams. I have a hard time seeing that. but anything is possible, and until somebody steps up and beats PBF, we will have to deal with him, unless he goes to prison for an extended period of time, which is possible.
Williams is too big. He’s ridiculously lanky, and Floyd, I can honestly say, has never fought a fighter like him. I don’t know how Floyd would do against a rangy fighter like him.
Martinez… I’m not sure about. I forget how tall he is, but he can punch, and he’s got great footwork.
You have to realize also you’re getting into some seriously big guys- wayyyy bigger than Floyd’s 5’8" lightweight frame.
I also think both of them could beat Pacquaio. They throw alot of punches, they’re fast, and they’re BOXERS, not brawlers. So Pac won’t fight either of them.
A couple of boxing websites are saying that Floyd said he wants the winner of Williams-Martinez but who knows if the fight actually happens. I think that if the Pacquiao fight can’t be made then the Williams-Martinez winner makes the most sense.

I never said that.
I believe that Martinez is out of the question for either of them because he’s too heavy. He’s not coming down to fight them and they sure as hell won’t be going up to fight him.
I think Mayweather would stand a better chance at beating Williams. You really don’t want an “all action” style going into the ring with a guy like that. Lol.
I don’t think Pac could take on Martinez or Williams, they’re just too big and match up poorly stylistically. Mayweather might be able to beat Williams but I think Martinez would just be too big for him and just outwork him.
Williams is a maybe because he doesn’t fight tall, it’d be a close fight if Mayweather won though.
Lol. Does anyone dislike Martinez?
Any changes of opinion before the weekend?
What’s next for Paul if he wins? What’s next for Martinez?

Whoever wins, meet Mayweather at a catch weight. Works for Pac.
But will either of those fighters get May the big pay day he wants?

The only thing I dislike about Martinez is the age he got in the gym lol.
What’s next for them? Hard to say, I think whoever wins this will have a harder time getting fights if they win convincingly. I honestly think it’ll be a close fight and they’ll have a third fight. It’s hard to say if Mayweather would fight either one and I doubt Pac would face them, there’s not really any big fights unless they move up to 168 either. I could see Martinez moving up and fighting some super middles though. Williams will probably stick around 154-160 and just keep taking what comes his way.
I like Paul the Punisher, but I really feel that he needs to move up in weight…I mean a 6’2" welterweight? I know he’s fighting martinez at 158, but he has said in recent interviews that he belongs and will go back down to in 147. I disagree!..and to answer Irish’s Sergio Martinez is 5’10", and I agree with much of what Irish has said so far…

??? mmmkay, what weight class would THAT happen at???
NO f-ing way Martinez can get below 15O, hell, he has trouble cutting to middleweight! would PBF go up, get on a icecream and pizza diet for a few months? Williams is sort of a freak, but I he is still young and I think he whould be a middleweight(160).

While I agree that 147 is nearly ridiculous, keep in mind that Tommy Hearns fought at middlweight at exactly the same height (maybe one inch shorter).
Tommy was a freak of nature, but then again, so is Paul… we’ve only really seen these two fighters with those dimensions in the last 20 years, so it’s safe to say that PW could probably do this…
EDIT - I meant that Tommy fought at welterweight. He fought at middle but much later in his career.
Hearns had the power though.

So what? That has nothing to do with him being a freakishly tall welterweight.
Just saying he was freakier than PW is.

Actually, I expect PW to have more power. You’d think with those long ass arms, he would generate a tremendous amount of power coming from so far away, but he really doesn’t.
The fact that he can make 147 (or says he can) and throw so many damned punches… that’s freaky. But on the freakiness scale I’d say they’re about even.
Love both fighters though. PW seems like a real cool guy, real laid back. It’s hard for me to root for either guy, or against either guy I should say, tonight…

I think it’s because Williams is such a head first boxer. If he got a trainer that would really teach him how to box he’d be really hard to beat. He just sticks his face out at you and doesn’t work the range, it just gives smaller fighters the chance to exchange with them when he should be out of range.
