Pacman Jones Makes It Rain

LOL.

Don’t you think THAT is the problem?
Millions of people in the USA play football. Many of them dream of being pros. They look at professional football players as role-models, often trying to model their playing style. Likewise, millions of people watch professional football. Sometimes, they even look at their favorite players as heroes. They look forward to watching them play. Do I think that THIS is a problem? No, I don’t. Do I have a problem with a professional having less self control then a 2 year old? Yes, I do. Pacman should grow up. He claims he really wants to get back on a team to work in the only profession that he knows. If this is true, he should stop proving to the public that he is a PR train-wreck and among the least professional athletes ever.

He dropped money on a stripper stage. Do you really think going to strip clubs is wrong? I agree that dropping thousands on a stage in public just to show how much money you have is childish…much like many guys in their 20’s would act if they had enough cash. How does this action in itself mean someone should be kept off a pro team? Should you have to stay at home and become a hermit to appease the mighty crowd of onlookers? He’s a young guy with tons of cash…so he acted like it.

If he actually hit a girl, then yes, that is wrong. But what else are you upset about specifically?

We could get a G5 for the weekend and hit up Scores, then fly down the East Coast and hit up Atlantic City. We’ll head over to Houston to the Rhino and then up to Las Vegas for some shows
and strip clubs.

sounds good, just spot me the money now though for the G5 and i’ll get you back, promise
Just waiting on Professor X’s response.

If you punish them for being “poor role models,” then you are essentially justifying their position AS role models.

lol

Also, like was mentioned above, the parking lots are all full, all the time. Shit some are full at lunch time on a Thursday, and they don’t even serve food.

Very true. I happen to live down the street from one and their parking lot is filled on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons…and literally overflowing on the weekends.

Clearly everyone inside is holding a church service.

Strip clubs are an awesome, awesome time about once a year. Any more than that and it gets pretty old.

I think pro football players earn their money. They could be paralyzed in any game or practice. The human body is not built for 60 car crash impacts a day.

Should they not be retarded? I agree…they should know how to act in public.

These pro athletes know they’re in the public eye at all times. I don’t think it’s wrong to go in strip clubs, I’ve been to plenty myself. But if you’re famous and PR is an important aspect of your career, you’ve got to be an idiot to go out making a spectacle of yourself thinking it has no consequences. A rap star or rock star can get away with it. Athletes can’t. Small price to pay when you’re making millions a year doing what you love.

Anything they do will become a spectacle. Do you think an NFL player can even walk into a club like that without suddenly being the center of attention? It is things like that which make me question whether any girl actually got hit…because every stripper in there is looking for a free ride. You could accidentally bump into one and they will sue you for 15 grand. At some point you should be able to enjoy yourself in public no matter how much money you make…AND THERE WAS NO CRIME IN DROPPING HIS OWN MONEY ON A STAGE. We can argue how mature that act is, but it isn’t worthy of being kicked off a pro team.

Not trying to hijack, but case in point…

Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of raping a hotel maid in Lake Tahoe, 1 year ago. Yes, she is now reporting, after 1 year, that she was raped by the Pittsburg QB. She never reported it to police, there is no evidence other then her word of mouth, and she is filing a civil suit for $400k. Get that, 1 year later, she is accusing him of rape. She didn’t go to police when it allegedly happened, thus no criminal charges are being filed. She wants a pay out.

Ben could never rape, he has two rings! Michael Jackson could never rape, cause he made thriller!

I agree, being rich and famous does have it’s down sides. You probably can’t even be in a room alone with anyone. if i were in their position i would probably isolate myself. i would have to have an observer in the room every time i had sex, even though I’m not into that.

LOL… That would probably be the smartest thing to do at that point.

I think that fat chick singing the chorus of Puffy’s 1997 “Mo Money, Mo Problems” said it best.

“Its like the more money we come across, the more problems we see”

Bad boy, baby. Take that, take that.

I totally agree with you on the point that ANYONE should be allowed to enjoy themselves in public as long as they’re not breaking the law. In our country, people are supposed to innocent till proven guilty so the whole hitting the stripper shouldn’t carry weight until after his day in court.I’ve seen enough famous people in NYC to know the attention they get. It’s insane. In our culture pro athletes are treated as role models. That’s inherently part of the job whether they like or not. I don’t agree with this, its just the way it is. If it were up to me, I’d say they should judged like rock stars, mostly on their god given talent. Not their ethics or morals choices.

What really gets me are those who act like because they make millions, they should HAVE to deal with zero privacy and zero ability to do anything normal people do all day long without being sued for it. It sounds like jealousy more than any moral outrage.

The average joe can reach for a beer, accidentally bump the girl in front of him and all she will say is, “oops” or at the most, “hey…I’m standing here!”. If the average NFL player who is well known does it, he will be in court by Tuesday which means their only safe haven is to simply stay at home all of the fucking time to avoid the public.

Why does celebrity equal isolation just to make the general public happy?

From the looks of things, NOTHING makes the general public happy. If you drop your own money on a stage for strippers, you get corny newscasters acting like “making it rain” is some cult ritual that hood rat witches came up with.

I know one thing, I have spent more money on dumber shit, so I am no one to talk.

I see what you’re saying and generally agree, but we’re talking about Pacman Jones. This is the same guy who got in a fist fight in the bathroom with his Cowboys appointed babysitter. All this dude does is get in trouble, and it seems to be trouble he starts. Also, there’s witnesses to his punching the stripper. Two bouncers and some randoms say they saw him do it. This dude’s the epitome of knucklehead. Guy’s more famous for starting shit than anything he’s done on the field. If we didn’t live in such a Paris Hiltonized society this clown woulda been dumped and forgotten a long time ago. .

Yea who likes strip clubs? I mean really, who wants to go get drunk and have naked girls dance on top of you? Sounds totally gay bro
