You are bouncing back great after being sick. Obviously you were bound to fail the last rep of your last set…you would have squatted until failure no matter what because your expectations outpace your recovery from the sick.
you remind me of myself so much!! I get so worked up and defeated from missing crap sometimes and take it personal–dammit! you of course have nothing to be remotely ashamed off, but I totally understand.
hope you feel 100% in time for Xmas festivities :}
lol ladies, thanks! I do think squatting for sets to failure on occasion is good for me. It helps eliminate the fear of failing a rep and its also an indicator that I went as far as I possibly could that day and left none in the tank. I am now taking it day by day with cutting out sugar and gluten and the symptoms I’m having seem to be slowly receeding.
It really is humbling how hard this is for me now. I know its a hard time of year to be avoiding all the goodies, but I really need to get my head right for my health. Once I get nice and clean for a few days(in time of Xmas eve!) I’m going to make something yummy with my almond flour and maybe some fudge with stevia!
Good work on the clean eats girlie! It is hard. But feeling good trumps everything, especially when being active is a huge part of who you are. Enjoy your fudge!!
lololol, I failed. A bagel today and some chocolate peanut butter cookies I made as a secret santa present yesterday. Still doing much better than I was though.
I’ll be joining you on the sugar/gluten wagon after Christmas. I’ve been rather naughty this month, from a dietary standpoint.
Sounds like you’re getting some nice workouts in, at any rate. Good squatting.
Cal-yes, we will be resisting gluten with a firm hand starting boxing day…or the 27th…Definitely by January lol
Lil-Thanks!
nlmain-go on with your sexay self! Happy Holidays to you too!
Masch-Holiday treats+owlie=big fat FAIL lolol jk, I am festively plump and loving it!(for week or so lol)
So I actually have a legitimate update, due to some weirdy health concerns I have to cease taking my hormonal birth control for the time being, so we’ll see if I notice a difference in my training.

Well I was pretty much useless after that. I tried sumo deads just for funsies. It felt weird. I should watch some vids and read some articles and try again.

leg press
2 platesx16/15/14-nice slow and controlled. The damn fascia in my neck were super tight and I thought it was going to eff up the whole show today. It didn’t and I’m glad I pushed through anyway.
I think you will be happy with your gluten free endeavor. For me, it was for different reasons, but the more basic I eat the better I feel. It doesn’t take long to get over the hump either, you’ll feel great!\
and needless to say, but i shall! great squatting, great lifting! :)! such a powerhouse!
Hey as you can probably tell I just joined I usually hang around the OG… but I have been curious about other girls performance and where they are at since there aren’t any women around here that use free weights! I use the 5-3-1 program just started it about 5 months ago and i love it so far and have made a lot of gains. I’m really happy to see that you post your numbers! It’ll be awesome to finally have someone to compare to.
