She may be feeling outdone and intensely stupid and inept around you. She has probably noticed your fantastic work. Add her to your list of people you feel sorry for then burn the list and turn your music back up to a safe level.
haha, that whole story was hilarious. she seriously made fun of how you walk? Right then and there you should have thrown a 2.5 plate in her face. Well not really but yeah she sounds like a total bitch.
in my opinion these trainers are just jealous and this is a way for them to “come out on top” for lack of a better description. Pretty much what Jim said in his first 2 lines. Time for upper, peace
Great workouts mama! I’ve always wondered about that ear-popping business. Has happened to me a couple of times, weird.
Yes to the foam rolling, I’ve recently upped it and started rolling pre wo and its actually been helping me a ton!
Ugh. Bad trainer, bad sista! Ladies who lift need props, not put downs. Like Jim said, good job not popping her in the mouth. Not that you would ever do that.
I think the ear popping is from building up lotsa intra-abdominal pressure.
First of all, that is some solid training you’ve been putting in since last I was here. Weighted chin-ups really, really impress me.
It always disappoints me when that bitchy-competitive thing that women do comes out in the weight room. This “trainer” was being competitive with you. Knowing that she couldn’t compete on strength or intensity, she went with physical attractiveness.
Mistake. Utter fail.
There is nothing as hawt as Owlie lifting heavy.
blocky waddler! hahahah
what a cunt. good job not sticking ur foot up her ass and changing the way she walks for a few days. =+)

Ok I have to rant. The most obnoxious shit happened today. There’s this trainer at my gym who is about my same height and weight who I always see doing cardio and in the free weights area on the machines.
She’s never squatting or doing any type of barbell exercises. I was standing in the squat rack resting between my press sets and she came up to me and said “So, are you training for bodybuilding or what?”
To which I replied, “No, strength mainly”
She said, “oh, well you’re blocky and you walk like this” (waddled around a little)
she continued, "What you need to do to lengthen your quads is do some leg extensions because you know you want that teardrop shape or whatever.
Also, you have good glutes and calves genetically or whatever, but if you really want to sculpt your calves you should get in the leg extension machine and point your toes back and forth like this."(showed me some bullshit movement in the air) Before I could reply she walked away.
What?!?1 I was dumbfounded. I didn’t think I stuttered on the word “strength” I have fairly good enunciation skills so there’s no way she misheard me to say “I am training for bodybuilding please critique my physique and offer me advice.”
I am wondering if I should actually complain about her. It doesn’t seem very professional to tell members at the gym you train at they are blocky. I wasn’t offended, but that’s just down right untrue. I may not be the leanest, but I’m far from blocky.[/quote]
I hate trainers like this. It makes me mad just reading about it. Infact, I think you should go up to her the next time you see her doing cardio and ask her what she’s doing. When she says “Improving endurance and keeping my bf low” tell her that her strength is lagging behind and she’s developing an uneven body. When she argues, tell her that very basic strength for a woman is squatting her body weight with correct form and ask her to demonstrate that she can do this so you can know for sure that her training is solid.
I know that’s probably more interaction than you want with her, but it’d be fun to hear about ![]()

Haha maybe I should disrupt one of her cardio sessions to lecture her about her piss poor strength. Although talking to her is less fun than rubbing sandpaper on my asshole, it might be worth it just to see how she reacts. I could also use that opportunity to tell her she looks much older close up which is probably due to her incessant tanning and obvious stimulant use (she is ALWAYS and I mean always hopped up, in a very unnatural way), but no, I would never say that last part. No harm in thinking it though…

As I was leaving, I passed by a very beautiful lady on a stairmaster thing, and she stopped me to tell me she had seen me working out the other day and was impressed with my pull-ups. Just goes to show for every mean jealous c word out there, there is a sister ready with a word of encouragement.

Really there should only be one set for Kroc rows. It should be so balls out crazy that there is no way you can do another set. Somewhere between 20-40 reps.
Do you think ol Kroc can do these for a second set? haha
Oh but it would be so much fun to listen to her excuses when you bring up what a pruned, old weakling she is! (note sarcasm) Excellent job on the dls btw!
haha thanks! I think I will just continue to make her fume by busting my ass and throwing around weight for sets of ten that she couldn’t even lift once. If she comes at me again, I’ll be ready with the line about squatting her own body weight.

Ha I know, I kind of missed the point of kroc rows with the multiple sets. Oh well, I’ll just know I can handle more weight next time. ![]()

when i first introduce women to the “kroc” row we usually do multiple sets because they can not handle the kinda weight that can cause the kinda damage the weights mat K can handle impose on the body. now a female lifter like molly who can do 100lbs for 20reps+ (one set is plenty). If your using a dumbell under 60lbs adding and extra set of two wouldn’t be a bad idea.
the fun thing about working with women is they can do more on a % basis more often how much fun is that (happy happy joy joy)
I wish i could do multiple sets at 90+ % X3 on a regular basis
Jim
Very good point Jim, that’s your experience coming through, haha.

thank you Andy. I am very lucky that I have worked with and for some very smart people. I have also trained hundreds of ladies, I have def learned through trial and error. There are definatly many ways to skin a cat, but time and time again certain principle come shining through.
Jim
Thanks for the input Jim! I’ll keep working my way up, and if I can ever do more than one set I’ll go for it. I’ve seen that video of Molly and its impressive!! New side goal. 100lb kroc rows by hmmm lets go for July 31st. I suck at setting goals because I usually do better than I think I will(I guess that’s better than the other way around), so I have no idea if that’s an appropriate time frame.
I learned long ago not to put limits on things or people up or down.
I try not to focus so much on numbers as long as you are getting stronger at where you are weak. And your main lifts are getting better that is all the matters.
I look forward to following your progress
Jim
Thanks! Yeah, as long as my 4 main keep creeping up, I’m happy. I have noticed that people who train that way get the strongest, so lets see what I can do.
that trainer is a wanker!!!
she’s just jealous and uneducated, what a loser! i’m sorry she put a damper on your day with her stupid comments!
oh! and i forgot, how did you start doing kroc rows? i’d like to start but don’t know what number to start with or what
