Yeah, they tried to get me to squat on my toes and it felt weird on my knees so I just kind of stood there lol I also stood feinting confusion during the twist stuff because I didn’t know how good it was for my low back…
50 minutes on the treadmill… haven’t done that in a few weeks. I’m trying to get my legs to grow and squat heavy.
I’ve never done hot yoga, but I’m a regular-yoga drop-out. Like Snapper, I could never get out of the competitive mindset and actually injured myself a couple of times by over-stretching. Yes, I’m a dumbass.

owlie and molly, what kind of stretching are you talking about avoiding for lower back stability?
this i want to be sure NOT to do. I am clueless on so many things. when i get lower back pain i stretch , but i’m hoping its not counterproductive.
Well, in this bikram yoga class there is a pose where you force and hold your spine in a twisted position, which I have heard is bad for your lower back integrity. For my lower back stiffness, I usually just foam roll, though I heard tennis balls are better.
Sometimes I will gently stretch it to each side, forward and back. I make sure not to force a twist or jar it too much though or do anything too jerky.

Hot yoga sounds like it could feel really great… haven’t done any yoga in years, but I may have to check it out again.
Blue, it does feel great. I have decided that two sessions is enough for me though, lol. I will stick to regular yoga and stretching at least for now. I just bought some tennis balls for my lower back mmmm.

As I progressed through the 8 sets, each one got easier and leg drive became more and more solid. I can’t wait for this hellish benching to be over tomorrow so I can move on to some fun stuff, but I’ve learned a lot from it! I also can’t wait to test the new 1RM

Everything felt beautiful today and all of the form problems I’ve been having like not driving my knees out have disappeared into thin air. I also had much better hip drive all the way through my heels. I was all ass today, baby. The solution was to set the bar lower like I had been a few months ago hmm who knew? I think there really is something to this kind of frequency for hammering out form issues
