Ovidrel dose after changing from Pregnyl

Hey all. Just moved to South America. Been on a protocol of Test + hcg for 5 years and all is good with levels and no other issues in yearly bloodwork.

Thing is, here in Ecuador I can’t get Pregnyl for hcg, only Ovidrel. Good thing is Ovidrel is MUCH cheaper here than the US price.

Can someone help me with the dosage?

Apparently the 250mcg trigger shot of Ovidrel is equivalent to 6500 iu of Pregnyl.

Trying to do the math between Pregnyl and Ovidrel dosages is driving me crazy.

Here’s the logic I’m using:

250mcg of Ovidrel is approx equivalent to 6500 iu hcg in 0.5ml of Pregnyl.

I’ve been pinning 30mcg of Pregnyl twice a week.

Feeding the numbers into chat GPT, it tells me I should be pinning 120mcg or 12 syringe units twice a week.

Does this seem right?

Same situation, there’s only Ovidrel available here. Also curious about it. And if you can count Ovidrel’s r-HCG vs u-HCG as the same ius…

My reasoning: there are 25 ‘clicks/dosages’ in the syringe, so every click is about 260iu. I’ll plan to use one click every other day.

Every dose would be equivalent to between 260iu - 400iu (potentially)
