Over-Training...or Bunk Gear?

I’m approaching the end of the 7th week of my FIRST cycle (10 wks total + PCT)
250mg Test E E3D (500mg/wk)
For the first 4 weeks I also ran Dbol at 30mg/day.

First 5 weeks went great. Gained 19 lbs all my lifts went up…and now nothing. After the dbol I dropped about 4 lbs (assuming water weight) and then quickly gained it back. Since then most of my lifts have maintained, but some have actually gone down. My bench went down slightly, and just about every bicep related exercise has gone down.

My diet hasn’t changed since I started and I’m getting plenty of sleep…but I’m not experiencing many of the “for sure” sides. My balls havn’t begun to shrink (or if they have, I certainly can’t tell) I don’t feel pumped/full of energy prior to or during a workout, and while I’m a little hornier than usual…it’s not a huge change.

I recently became friends with someone at my new gym who is an ex-juicer, ex-competing power-lifter and he thinks I may be over-training. I asked, “Isn’t it pretty hard to over-train while on gear?”
Some of my friends definitely don’t think it’s over-training…so I will provide my training split to you guys and hopefully if something is off you’ll be able to see it. Maybe I was just expecting too much?

At this point I am not doing any cardio (unless you consider abs cardio)
5-day split- looks like this:

Reverse tri pulldown 4 sets; 10-15 reps

Friday: Legs/abs

Deadlifts- 3-4 sets; 4-6 reps
Leg extension/BB lunges; 4 sets; 10-12 reps
Standing calf machine 4 sets; 12 reps

Repeat

I’ve only recently been doing deadlifts because I just could not do them while I was on dbol due to the back pumps. In fact, if I could get 4 sets of squats in, that was a miracle. I would typically use that leg day as just an ab day/walk at an incline on the treadmill/off-day. Yes, I realize there is no “off-day” at this point, but my ‘leg’ days are relatively light work- regardless of rep range.

Sorry if that’s way too much info…I really appreciate any & all constructive input.

Forgot to mention- I have adex on hand…but I havn’t really been taking it. Even at .25mg E3D I was seeing signs of too high estrogen supression. I’d get shitty vision/can’t concentrate and joint pain. So I’m only gonna use it if I start feeling titty tenderness.

That sounds like my first cycle. I would suspect underdosed Test E.

I went through the same thing in my first cycle. I am on my second now and upped test e to 700mg from another source and have enjoyed the test much better this time round. No amazing results, but good training motivation and consistent strength. It is essential to find a good source and quality gear for test e.

Maybe in your next cycle, you can go a little higher on the test e (good quality) and only add another element at the end of your cycle like I am planning. dbol can be added in weeks 7-8 of an 8 week cycle and continued through weeks 9-10 after having stopped test e. That way while you are waiting two weeks for test e serum level to drop adequately to start PCT, you can have a second wave of gains and make that time much more productive.

You also get the added benefit of being able to see how test e (quality) alone affects you without having the experience skewed by other compounds. In the case of good dbol, it is somewhat of a letdown when coming off the dbol and remaining on test e alone. That I would say is normal as dbol bolsters strength more than test e IME.

If it is in fact underdosed…do you think I should up the dosage? Maybe 600 or 750? Or would that be playing with fire at this point?

I would be, you should be feeling 500/week pretty significantly.

If its under dosed you can simply bump it to 600-700 and see what happens.

If you have been using underdosed gear for 7 weeks you are fully suppressed. Keep that in mind if you choose to up the dose and run it a few more weeks. It wouldnt be the best idea to turn the 7 week cycle into a 14-16 week cycle.

No, no, no…I wasn’t going to do that. I was(am) just going to bump it up to finish out the rest of the cycle.

Went ahead and bumped it up to 750 (375 E3D)…I’ll let you know how it works out.

Thanks guys.

just wanted to say Amy Reid is hawt!
