Since running uses glucose as energy would it be possible to eat an extra high carb meal(300-400g) go running and use the carbs just eaten/prevent the high blood sugar spike? Most likely that kind of intake would cause discomfort while running and a long ass run (1200-1600 cal of carbs) but, can it be done?
Sure, you can eat a big carb meal prior to running, but why?
The body doesn’t rely on any one energy source exclusively for such activities.
I prefer eating a high carb meal and then going to bed. But to each their own.

Well I was thinking if one was trying to lose fat, keep carbs low or trying to keep blood sugar levels/insulin lower could they eat a lot of carbs right before cardio to use it up and in a sense not suufer the “consequences”. I thought of this when a few board members (forgot who) mentioned that they enjoy cookies/ice cream but did not want the high spike in blood sugar/insulin so what they do was eat the ice cream before cardio to utilize it all. Of course my example was an extreme amount of carbs before running.

Most people on this site perform cardio to burn fat, and not for performance purposes, so why would they want to blunt this by loading up on carbohydrates?
What “consequences” are you talking about?
I hate to mention Paleo dieting again but, I follow a paleo type diet because spiked blood sugar from simple carbs or high carb intake gives my pimples. However I love snickers so against what the diet suggest, there are times though rare that I eat a 2 king size snicker before doing cardio and a BW circuit. The snickers have around 140g of simple carbs so I run around 5 miles at a 7-8 min. mile pace. I have never had issues with pimples when doing this so I assume that my body is using all the carbs taken in and them some for energy, preventing the spike in BSL. This though would probably not be ideal when trying to build muscle so, I only do this on rare occasion and only on cardio days.

I do not think he is suggesting eating carbs before cardio as a type of carb load for energy. I think he is giving an example of fucking on your diet or wanting to cheat big without storing the carbs and taking in all those extra calories. Some people eat no carbs for the rest of the day after a cheat meal, others fast the day after a cheat day. I guess some can do this to burn the carbs and calories taken in and get back on track the next day.

If that’s the case, he’s too hung up on particular feedings and needs to look at his diet in terms of what he eats over a day, week, month, and so forth.
One meal isn’t going to make someone fat.

True but, to answer his question I think it is possible. I already gave my personal example and also is that not what depletion workouts are all about using up stored glycogen? If someone is on a carb restrictive diet they will all ready be pretty low in stored carbs so, eating a shit load of carbs and then doing enough cardio can get you back to where you were, would it not?
In my case a particular feeding can throw me off. Hand to god I have gone to IHOP gone bat shit crazy on pankcakes and syrup, next day I would like, clockwork have a few pimples. Doing something similar to that mentioned has completely stopped that.

Op, ^ this is what you need to realize. If you’re trying to lose fat stay away from carbs slow or fast. Insulin spikes are to pull nutrients into muscle. Imo carbs are only needed before important activities like a football game, cycling, etc… Eat more fat.
