From you, vroom. This is a small collection of insults from the last two pages of this thread:
Yep, another “ends justify the means” guy here
Is it because you enjoy partisan politics so much? Is this something you can stop doing when you want to? I hope so.
You are always looking for a way to slant a statement made by someone you disagree with in as negative a light as possible.
Anyhow, too bad nobody actually lived up to that supposed contract.
Stop living in a dream world and consider how things work when you aren’t in power
This is your fantasy belief…
I seriously doubt you have the capacity to actually listen to and deal with a democratic message.

It seems as if you are the judge and jury on who thinks and who doesn’t. I have to disagree. My actions are a direct result of my thinking about an issue. But like I said - if saying stupid shit like this helps you cope - knock yourself out.
You claim that you will do “whatever it takes” to win against liberals and democrats. That sounds like the ends justify the means to me.
You could certainly say you weren’t the type that believes the ends justify the means if you wanted to. If I was wrong, then tell me so.
This isn’t an insult.
The message I am responding to is a case in point. I don’t mean to insult you, but this is damned funny!
How the hell is this an insult? Are you joking? Is asking you this an insult?
Was this even directed at you? Anyway, it seems that anything anyone says that is in disagreement with your viewpoint is somehow an “insult”. Sure, I guess it is an insult when the wind blows against me when I’m running… but you need to lighten up and allow people to discuss viewpoints.
That’s my opinion. Be insulted if you choose to be.
Hmm, maybe I think you believe what you want to believe? Is it an insult for me to point that out?
This one I can understand, but I’m certainly not talking about mental ability.
I really don’t think you can listen to me and get what I’m saying, instead all you see is insults to you or your party line.
If you can interpret things as if they aren’t insults, you should act like it from time to time. Oh no, surely that was another insult?
Oh well, I’m getting the impression that I might as well get insulting if everything I say is going to be taken as an insult anyway.
I’m not the judge and jury of anything. Where the heck do you get this stuff? Are you giving me credit I don’t deserve or something?
Oh, did you think I was saying that you didn’t think at all?
Yes, I guess maybe you would do that since you are anxious to find insult in everything in order to satisfy your belief that liberals are all angry haters or something.
Yes, do tell me, what insults have I unknowingly slipped into this post?

See - this is the problem with you. I tell you you are wrong all the damn time. But it doesn’t matter. I even use your own words to show you how you are coming across, and all you can do is offer excuses. Excuses may be worth something up there - but they are worthless where I come from.

I would quote you, where you come off extremely judgemental, but that would accomplish the same thing as the last time I quoted you.
Not just me - but everyone else that you have accused of living in a fantasy world. But go ahead and change your meaning now that you have been called out for it.
Prove it. I find exception with your posts. That’s about it. Maybe if you could manage to drag that under the tree with you - you could pontificate on it until you understand that you come across as an elitist with self esteem issues.
You choose to find insult in everything I say for some strange reason.
Perhaps you hate me, my viewpoint, or perhaps you are just incredibly bad at interpreting what I am saying.
Where is “up there”? Are you referring to some supposed ivory tower or something? If so, it is just another example of how off your interpretation of what I say really is.
vroom - I am going to side with ZAp here and say that we have managed to fuck up a decent thread. If you want to continue this pissing contest - PM me. But I’m not wasting any more of anyone else’s time on our tangent.

Zap and you are both idiots… and that is what an insult looks like, in case you are wondering.

Funny, sometimes those that claim to have so much faith aren’t willing to let God be our judge…
Wasn’t there something about “judge not”?
That is how I feel about it. I don’t understand those that want to force laws based on religion. The religion isn’t supposed to based in offensive force at all.

So should we do away with all public morality laws?

Wow. If you can’t see that you and RJ had degenerated into a pissing match, it is no wonder we rarely agree on things!

Which ones should we keep, if any?
I am curious.
Let’s start with how two gay guys getting married affects anyone else at all. How does taking away the legal right that women have to abortion solve the problems we are facing as far as people having sex but not taking responsibility for what that act creates? This isn’t about taking away ALL laws based on morality. It is about why we need more restrictions in addition to the ones we already have. What harm will society as a whole face if gays get a “union” that afford them the same rights as married couples?
If we are going to add more laws based on nothing BUT religion, you don’t see a problem there? I personally would never want a child I helped create to be aborted. However, it isn’t my place to force everyone else to act and think the same way.

One of the legitimate functions of gov’t is to protect those who cannot protect themselves. How in the world does religion enter into it?
Well, we should legislate what the vast majority of the country agrees is moral or rather immoral. Murder, theft, rape, etc… should be illegal. I think things with a huge amount of controversy are best left to the states and private citizens, particularly when it’s a huge stretch to try to apply the constitution to the issues.
