Osama Bin Laden Dead

Also, for the conspiracy nuts: How come you’re so skeptical about melting steel when a plane full of fuel hits a building filled with tables, chairs and many things made of plastic, but not more skeptical about your far-gone story?[/quote]

Are you saying that burning plastic garbage bins made steel framed building collapse? Do you even comprehend what you are saying? Do you understand the size those columns were?

The ignorance and stupidity of people make me sad.

Please read a page back where it started. The burning jet fuel doesn’t reach the melting point of steel and he argues that office supplies are the reason steel framed building collapsed. That’s what I was responding to. I’m even more glad I’m not you.

A bridge in SF melted and collapsed when a fuel tanker caught fire on it. This was a fire out in the vented open air. Not contained in a furnace-like environment like inside a building.

Do the people talking about fire and melting steel actually have any realworld firefighting experience? Have you evertalked to a firefighter, arson investigator, building codes compliance officer or fire prevention specialist about the 9/11 building collapse specifically?

Considering how many fire fighters died in the collapse if there was a big conspiracy don’t you think they would have had a huge national outcry from the people who’s actual profession is dealing with that sort of thing?

No. Generally, these are middle aged people living in their parents’ basement.

Speaking of firefighters, (and not to derail this thread), have any of you seen the documentary film “102 Minutes That Changed America”? It was put together with footage taken by people who witnessed the event unfolding (not news media) from many different vantage points. Amazing emotional footage. I got really choked up seeing the firefighters going into the WTC,… a long line of them, one right after anther. These were the last images ever taken of these guys… the last time they would ever be seen on this earth.

I’m in the process of trying to get hired as a FFer. In one of our classes our instructor showed us some clips from that video… Crazy stuff. There was a story about a fire captain (I believe) who was on his off day when he got the news. He went to the station to grab his gear and everyone was already gone. He was driving to the WTC and got stuck in gridlock traffic 2 miles from ground zero so he got all geared up, left his car in the road and took off running in between the stopped traffic to get in there and help. That was the last time anyone ever saw him was all geared up running through traffic to go help.

Talk about moving stuff. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the class.

Damn.

I saw an interview on TV a few days ago with the father of one of the lost firefighters. He said he was on his cellphone talking to his son who was in the lobby of the WTC with many other fitrfighters when they all started scrambling for the exits… after hearing the building collapsing above them. Needless to say his son never made it out. Brave heroes almost seems too light a term for these men.

My 2 cents: 9/11 was NOT a conspiracy. Could it have been prevented? Probably. Did a whole lot of government/intel. people fuck up royally? Probably. Will we ever know the whole story? I doubt it.

As for Osama Bin Laden’s death, it’s an interesting theoretical debate (Did the US have moral authority to go into Pakistan without their knowledge or approval???) but in realpolitik, Obama probably got the news (we can get the bastard now) and acted on it. He made the right decision IMHO.

In theory, I don’t agree with violating another country’s sovereignty but really, if Pakistan were my country, and I wanted to affirm my support for a (supposed) ally (the US) then I don’t think I’d make too big a stink over this. Bin Laden was a piece of shit. Bottom line. But what do I know, I’m just a Canadian.

As to all the ‘‘Bin Laden isn’t really dead’’ conspiracy theories…I don’t see why Obama would gamble on that one. What does he gain if he says ‘‘we killed the SOB’’ and Bin Laden shows up a month or so later with a ‘‘Death to Amereeka-Praise Allah’’ video on Al Jazeera?

Whatever.

Don’t feed the troll. Even if the troll doesn’t realize he is a troll.

This thread is about Osama Bin Laden Being killed
