And yet you avoid my numerous posts pointing out that this concern has not caused problems in other open carry states.

Why have you continually avoided responding in that regard?
Let me ask you this, in most open state are the open carry laws in rural areas? I know a lot of major cities in open carry states pass their own laws making open carry illegal.
Let’s see, Tom. Let’s examine the major cities in the ten “friendliest” open carry states, the ones I listed earlier in this thread:

Montana - no restrictions in any major city or minor one for that matter

Idaho - Boise - no restrictions

Wyoming - Casper and Cheyenne - no restrictions

Nevada - Las Vegas - no restrictions http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/apr/07/nevadans-are-free-don-their-arms-open/

Arizona - Phoenix - no restrictions

Alaska - Anchorage - no restrictions

New Mexico - Albuquerque - no restrictions

South Dakota - Sioux Falls - no restrictions

Kentucky - Louisville - no restrictions

Virginia - all major cities - no restrictions except magazines cannot hold more than 20 rounds

North Carolina - Charlotte - no restrictions

Vermont - all major cities - no restrictions

(* when I say “no restrictions” I obviously am not talking about the restrictions that some cities and states have when it comes to government buildings, bars and private businesses that are afforded the right to ban weapons on their premises)

So Tom…tell me again how you “know a lot of major cities in open carry states pass their own laws making open carry illegal.”
You want to talk about the ten friendliest states. There are more states than 10 that are open carry. I believe there is the term to the states in which I’m referring to called anomalous states.

Denver Colorado
Detroit Michigan
Portland Oregon

All these states have open gun laws but in these cities open carry is illegal. I’m sure there are more but I think my point is proven and I’m not combing the internet for more examples.

Look dude I’m not looking to argue with you I could care less. I’m all for open carry and lord knows your country needs it. Three may not be a lot but I have proven my point. I am sure there are more but those are the ones I know of. Take it however you want.

You and you alone said, “most open carry states,”
I asked a question with this. I then made a statement and then I said I know a lot of open carry states have laws preventing open carry in major cities. I never said the most friendly open carry states either. I then backed up my claim with three examples would you like me to give you more?

What I’ve noticed is that those who bluster the loudest about not wanting to comb the internet are inexplicably the ones making the most unsubstantiated and often false claims or who do a lot of speculating about “what might happen.”
Did I make a false claim?

You are out of the loop, clueless as to that exchange with another poster.

But just for the “fun” of it, here’s a vagina that will need inspecting when you begin your practice.
I stand corrected. I think that even Sir Mix-Alot would be offended by that.

Look I think we share pretty much the same beliefs on this issue. However I am from Alabama and I have grown up watching the federal government slap down pretty much every misguided thing we have done here and we have done some pretty misguided stuff. Some of the slap downs were warranted because they felt with some pretty immoral shit. Some of the slap downs were things that I supported but knew that there was no way we would get away with it. For instance several years ago our Supreme Court Chief Justice had a marble monument weighing several tons placed in the SC building with the 10 Commandments on it. I am all for that but I immediately knew we weren’t getting away with it. There is also the immigration act that I mentioned in my OP. I support most of the provisions of that bill but when we passed it I knew we wouldn’t get away with it. It is dead in the water now. I got the same feeling about the new gun law. Perhaps I am a little too pessimistic but a lifetime of watching federal courts run your states business like they own it does that to you.

I will give you this, the new gun law has been in place for nearly 3 weeks now and there have been no major problems to speak of thus far. The only locals that I have seen OC are the few who already did anyway. I haven’t even seen anyone else doing it yet and I live in one of the 10 largest towns in Alabama.

The only blow back I have heard of so far is a couple of guys in the Birmingham area being arrested for misdemeanors because they OC into a business that had no firearms signs. And that was just hearsay I don’t even know if its true.

You didn’t comment on my map. I thought that would surely rile you up.

I was gonna say, half the vagina’s in the gyno office aren’t all that healthy.

I certainly consider that one of the worst, most disgusting jobs in the world. Just sitting in the waiting room and looking around, there were very few vaginas I would even dare to peer into.
The idea certainly sounds more glamorous than the profession. I think a lot of dudes get the idea that they would be the resident doctor for the Playboy Mansion or something. Reality is that most women aren’t that attractive, when you consider your looking from 18-85. The job would ruin vaginas for me altogether.

Dare I ask why you were paying a visit to the gynacologist?

In most of those cases, what you are seeing is the divide between urban/rural that most typifies this country. Forget “Red State/Blue State”, those tend to be misleading, the biggest divisions tend to be amongst urban and rural locales.
The other thing to consider is that as liberals flee the coasts, they tend to move into major cities in the flyover states and then immediately start trying to turn the places they moved to into the places they moved from.
Then you have police chiefs who decide which laws they will uphold. The police chief of Milwaukee announced that he would have his “Troops” prone out anybody carrying a gun, and “determine if they had a right to have that gun”.
