So here is the dilemma.

The show is def. in May that much has been posted. Just not the date.

So what if its the first weekend in May?

That means that if I continue on with my current plan (one more week of what I am doing now then 1 week deload) I will only get:

8 weeks to work a specialization program for shoulders, glutes, and hams
and 18 weeks of prep

or 6 weeks to work the specialization
and 20 to prep.

with no deload between the two either.

Really both are needed.

I have done well with Laynes program but could I be doing better with the other one?

Of course the show could be the end of May and then I would be ahead of the game. I wish they would post the damn day already!!

No dilema anymore…I am going to skip the deload as I am feeling good anyways, finish Layne’s program this week (1 week early) and move straight into the specialized program for the full 8 weeks. Grow baby Grow!! :slight_smile:

I tried posting it from photobucket. Once I posted a vid here and I tried to remove it and I think I messed up some settings. Its not a big deal tho. I dont vid things very often.

Saturday Weekly Update

Scale came in at 135 today. I kind of figured it would be higher, the past 2 days I have felt pretty bloated and ‘off’ (AKA crazy lady). Not worried about the puffiness as Thursday I felt great in my clothes. I think its hormonal.

Today and tomorrow are the last 2 days of PHAT and then Tuesday I start a specialization program that runs 4 days a week. I am excited for the change!

So in the past 9 weeks I have put on 4 pounds that have stuck. I see changes in my legs and arms but to the camera its pretty hard to see, especially at my BF level. I am happy with the results tho.

The goal for the next 8 weeks is 2 more pounds.

This is also my last weekend for certain indulgences. Time to tighten the diet up and get as much out of the next 8 weeks as I can! It will go by fast and then its hammer time!

8 weeks IS going to fly. You are very focused, which is probably most of the battle!

thanks! This is the easy part tho…prep will be where the focus is really needed! Thats why I am slowly trying to break myself in and begin prep with the best mindset possible.

Ok so I had to give myself 50 pep talks to do Lower Hyper ( I HATED that day!!) this morning and as soon as I got under the bar for the first set of squats the phone rang and I had to go in to work. I took that as a sign from the training gods.

Day one of my new program started today :slight_smile: so its now a 4 week and 1 day program :smiley:

~ 3x10 was the rep scheme to be used. I forgot to ask if it was each leg or not. I felt these in the glutes but the burn was in the quads. Last time it was the same case but the DOMS came in the glutes the next day. Not sure if I should lower the weight and make them more explosive…maybe then I will feel it more in the glutes while I am doing the work. I will try that next time. The goal is to increase with volume here each time.

Got my suit! (well, its in the mail) I love it! I had some help picking one out that will fit me proper come comp time. This suit is good for my height and a weight from 110-125. Should be perfect!
