One Plate, Two Plate, Three Plate, Four!

I’ve felt that hunger before. The first time it happened I thought I was dying.

27 more days till Tough Mudder. Me and this cold need to start getting along better.

Ran 4k this morning. I was impressed and super pumped that I could do it…I thought for sure I wouldnt even be able to knock out 5 straight min. Thought I would beat the heat if I got out by 10 but no, not so lucky. Got home and ran the hose over my head, felt like Heaven.

Chest felt not bad, just had a hard time taking those deep breaths you need every now and then when you run to refill (if that makes sense) the snot and lung butter was just a flyin tho! :smiley:

If I can get back to 10 straight k by tough mudder I will be happy.

Still not going to chance weights for a few more days as one rib still likes to click when I breath every now and then and if I have a bad coughing bout it seems to come out of place and it hurts like hell. Cant even lay on that side. SO FRUSTRATING that this happened now but its getting better.

Anyways…cheers to todays run!

oh and I wanted to share my new breakfast love.

I call it pumpkin pie oats

1/2 cup oats
1/3 cup pure pumpkin puree
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 scoop vanilla protein powder.

YUM!

Oh no what happened to your ribs??? yeah I know how it is to not be able to breathe properly. Mine are still killing me, they can’t seem to stop twisting. Not to mention that I would get pain where my heart was, that was scary for awhile till the Dr just said its my ribs.

Alright you’ve sold me, I’ll try that pumpkin recipe, sounds like a good dessert too.

I got THE worst virus I have ever had. I cough until I vomit, choke, cant breath. When I get into these coughing fits the air I can take in is super limited and it screeches in. Sounds horrible. feels worse. Anyways over time my chest and ribs started to get really really sore and then one night during one of these episodes I felt it pop and things have been really sucky since. Even the skin was burning.

My cough is getting better so slowly my ribs start to feel better but I still have fits so they wont heal properly. Last night was a bad night, I was super sore and had a really hard time finding a way to lay.

I have had it for a month now and the Dr. said 6 weeks is when viruses like these tend to clear up. I really hop he was right.

Its been great for my abs tho :smiley:

20 walking lunges
20 laying leg raises
20 DB curls 10#
Repeat for 3

Had to be careful with the leg raises and the curls to really isolate the muscles. Amazing how many things your chest affects!

then I went for a walk around the field with the pooch. Super duper hot, the dog hates it.

Going to the movies this afternoon with my hubby and daughter. First thing my daughter said was “we cant go to Batman…did you hear what happened?? We could get shot”

Oh and here is my chicken story :slight_smile:

While I wasnt posting I was busy getting chickens! We purchased them off a menonite for 3.00 ea. When we first got them they were in HORRIBLE shape, I mean waddles were white (a sign that their bodies are severely lacking calcium…the making of the shell uses a lot of it) and they were mostly bald.
Since we have had them (they are about 18months old, we have had them for 4 weeks) they have grown most of their feathers back and their waddles are nice and red and they each ley an egg almost every day!
So that means 5-6 eggs per day! (we have 6 hens) Here are a few pics!

Sounds like farming heaven. I would love the have my own chickens, my aunt used to have a few.
Feel better. I went to see Batman this weekend too. I don’t know if its the type of theatre I went to but had to sit through about 15-20 minutes of ads!!!

blury but heres my stems. I have been really trying to get some curve to my legs…low and behold the more chub I loose the better they start to look :smiley:

I am so frustrated I feel like throwing the mother of all tantrums. Being in the air conditioning at the store had my cough flaring again and last night my ribs were really sore again. A few days off from work and I had two days pain free…I thought I was getting better :frowning:

Its so hard to be patient when you WANT to do things. I feel so much better about everything when I work out. Grrr.

Anyways Wed and Thursday I went hiking. Took Fri and Sat right off. Today I ran approx 4k but had to stop from pain. I was going to try and push through as I had wanted 6-7k but I knew it would, in the end, delay things further.
