One Plate, Two Plate, Three Plate, Four!

Nadia~ awww, thanks  That was sweet <3

Nim~ that does make sense I see it especially when I put it down…I am just learning to put it down without feeling like I have to not let the plates make a noise when they touch the ground, lol. Hope you enjoyed your wine  Yummy!

mom~ Thanks for the compliment and the tip. Next dead day I will be sure to make a better prep and tighten up. Yes I do work out at home, but I have also just signed up with a PT for every second week. Should help a ton!

OHP
5x65
5x70
5x85

DE Bench (50% of 1RM)
9X3 @ 75#

BB curls
4x8 @ 55 and last set was 45 (bar)

Tri extensions
4x8 @ 15# WIMPY WIMPY, lol, but my tris have been so sore I feel like they are gonna rip

Side lat raises
3x10
rear lat raises
3x10
super-setted these and just used light weights. The side lat raises were making something pop in my shoulder with I used the 15’s so I decided with light and maybe we can sub these out for something else.

Todays workout felt really easy. The OHP’s didnt feel overly challenging, the fast bench reps were fun, the direct arm work is killing me(lol, weak sauce)!!

Bah. Weaksauce weight or not, if your arms are feeling like they’re going to rip, you’re definitely doing something right!

Good stuff cg, keep it up!

lol thanks Ink…your tattoo looks great by the way!!

WOW! I’ve missed a lot.

Very cool re: your new program and your coach! I’m glad to see hear that there’s not much to fix and that anything fixable isn’t super huge. Awesome!

And your deads look fine. You have good speed. Most anyone maxing out is going to have that slight curve. I’ve never seen lifters in real life freak about form as much as you girls in this forum. lol. Add weight! ;)[/quote]

And this is why I love Bobbi - in my completely unprofessional opinion, I agree! Get some weight on that bar 225x5 is ridic!

Nice work CG!

What, this old thing? Haha, thank you

That’s a very strong OHP you got there.

Thanks Maschy, your log has been rockin lately too! and bobbi is pretty cool

Nadia thank you! Its coming along…I watched your HS vids, you are beautiful; so strong and graceful. If I tried that I am sure my back would break, lol.

45 min of various treadmill shinanigans.

Woke up today with super tight skin…for some reason my body is holding a crap ton of water. So much in fact that to bend my arm at a 45 degree angle feels like there is not enough skin, lol. I hate that!

Might go ice fishing today, plan on doing a bit of baking later, and tomorrow is a Holiday! YAY! I am in Heaven

Yesterday (after icefishing of course which gained us a nice pike for the freezer) I decided to go to emerg. becasue my arm kept swelling up.(lot it wasnt water) By the time I went there it was swolen from my mid forearm all the way to my shoulder. It didnt hurt at all, just was super tight from the swelling. I knew it was not a training injury but I also knew it was not right.

Turns out I have a blood clot! (it could also be something very wrong with my lymphatic system but they pretty much are ruling that out because none of my lymph nodes are enlarged at all) Apparently some people have an extra bone. He called it a rib but pointed to the collar bone area. I dont know the proper bone name but I think I know what he means.

Anyways, a vein runs over that bone and due to the extra bone its pretty tight fit for the vein. He says that my weight lifting makes everything even tighter in there (his theory) which really restricts this vein causing a build up of clot?

He is further supporting his theory because when he takes my hand and moves it up above my head and slightly back my pulse weakens which is showing the vein pinching?

So they gave me a high dose of blood thinner via needle to my stomach and I have to go back tonight to get another. Tomorrow (everyone is on holidays so I cant get my tests till then…isnt that crazy?) I go for a doplar to look for clots and an xray to look for this bone. They are hoping the clot in my arm dissolves by then.

I was hoping to wake up this morning and all the swelling would be gone but its not, which means the problem is still there. I dont know how long it takes to dissolve a clot tho?

I am scared the clot will let loose and end up in my lungs.
I am scared of what will be next
I am scared if I will need surgery.
Basically I am a scaredy cat right now.
This is all negetive tho, and not helpful in the least.

This will sound mean but I am also pissed because the people beside me that were slamming back cokes and eating multiple bags of chips arent worrying about clots right now. I lift weights, run etc for cardiovascular health, eat right, sleep right, and I am.

I really just had to get this all out. Thanks.

Wish me a mighty clot dissolving day people!!

aw man! you have every right to be pissed angry. I would be too. Hope this blows over quickly Coyote. Sending some vibes your way ++++++++++++++++++++++

that is weird about the clot. i have read something somewhere about some people having an extra rib… sounds like something along those lines… so glad that you went to the doc! i would guess that they would have expressed serious concern if they thought it was likely that it would dislodge and end up someplace where scary things could happen. fingers crossed the answer will be something along the lines of taking daily asprin or something like that to help thin your blood so as to prevent further clots. i think i’d be feeling scared, too, not really knowing what is going on. hang in there. wishing you the best.

Wishing you the best and hoping this gets better soon.

Coyote: Sorry you’re going through this.

Coyote - you have every reason to be pissed, I would be furious! It takes a while for the blood thinner to start really thining things out - but you need to be real careful if they decide to keep you on the thinning medicine, read the precautions and follow the rules with that stuff. It is serious business.

Sending positive vibes your way++++++++++

Hang in there kid. Good luck & positive thoughts your way.

It sounds as though you have a cervical rib: Cervical rib - Wikipedia
I hope you recover from the clot quickly. Can they remove the bone? I have an extra bone in my foot (called an accessory navicular) but it only gave me problems after I sprained my ankle, and more the hurty kind rather than the scary kind.

I am assuming they’ve put you on warfarin, which is basically rat poison (n8tive’s right about the seriousness). I know it’s difficult but try to relax as much as you can - do yoga breathing if you need to and just chill and watch feelgood movies for a while.

I hope things clear up for you soon. I’m sending my positive thoughts your way too.

Gosh, I would be just as pissed. I’m sure that things will resolve well for you because of your conscientious health habits. Best of luck.

awww thanks everyone for the kind words! Means alot!!

The swelling in my arm has gone down so that is a good sign. All I have left is some hand numbness here and there and muscle spasms in my arm here and there. Everyone is confused as to what the heck is going on, lol!

SO far I have had an ultra sound and a lung scan. Both showed negative for clots YAY!! today I had a chest Xray and I have a paper to get all kinds of blood work done. I had my internal and she had a hard time feeling my ovaries which could be due to the blood thinner shots leaving what she called love knots, lol, and/or the cysts I figured have come back. (my symptoms could all perhaps be tied together?) I have an ultra sound for my lower abdomen next week. Once they get all the results back they will try to make a picture out of things and we can go from there…

stuffs happening! It will all get figured out and work out, I just hate not knowing where I stand…

No weights :frowning: till this is all straight, but I can use the treadmill and stuff like that as long as I listen to my body and dont push.

Gonna get a lil dusty in here I am afraid…but it will all be here when its time

Thanks again everyone!

All the best, CG - glad the swelling is abating. Keep us posted eh?
