Holy shit dude, YOU are the one that wants government workers outlining diets for people. WE are the ones saying people can do it on their own.
YOU are the one that thinks people need to be told what to do.
So, even if your bullshit was relevant, which it isn’t, you would be, in part, making OUR case for us.
Aside from the fact it doesn’t matter if any one of us was 2% body fat or 30% bodyfat, we haven’t been giving dietary advice in this thread, YOU have. We only said that it doesn’t matter what it listed on the food package, fatties are still going to fat, and people who want to eat healthy aren’t eating the processed bullshit that Zep is so worried about in the first place.
I’m not trying to tell anyone what to eat or not to eat. I’m making the case neither I nor the government has any place in telling people what to eat, and we already offer more than enough in the way of guidance as what people should be eating, and enough information as to what is in what they are eating.

I don’t think people need to be told what to do , I think people should have all the info and know what it means and they can maketheir own decision . It would be no skin off the tax payers ass in food companies had to properly label their food .
It may how ever effect those food companies that tout their food as healthy (PUFFED RICE) you may as well eat a bag of baked potato chips

you kind of remind me of the fat fucks that tell me how to lift heavy shit, (OH BEND AT THE KNEES ) eye roll
What I am saying is our present way of labeling food is antiquated , USMC is just an example of why, but he knows it all

Yes, because most don’t seem to agree that your original solution is an effective, taxpayer friendly solution.

This is the worst projection I’ve seen on here in awhile.
Again, YOU are telling people what to do. I’m telling people to make their own choices in life.
As for your continued “fat fuck” references. I’m pretty sure my picture has been up on this site more than yours, so you can properly shut the fuck up about my body composition until you put up.

Then again, for like the 5th time, tell us how you would specifically change the food label.
No one has answered that question.

Yes, because the last thing we need is another “government program” when we already have multiple ones doing what you want, and fatties still fat.
So explain in specifics what the hell you want the government to do.

In my opinion , the program would have to be simple . Diet is more complicated than just all fats are bad and all proteins good and carbs are benign .
There are good carbs and bad carbs , there are good fats , bad fats and ugly fats . same for protein

Do you know what the word specific means?
The government has to force companies to do this because they can’t be trusted to police themselves. Japan is allowing GMO’s to be sold in their country but it has to be labeled properly for this to happen. In the U.S. the companies whom produce GMO’s are fighting to keep this off the label. Why?
Zeppelin795 wrote:

What, specifically, do you want on the food label that isn’t already there as it pertains to your original post.
If all you want is “this product contains GMO” labeling, fine, let’s do that. But you have to clarify what it is you want on the damn label.
cwill1973 wrote:
You can have all the knowledge of proper dieting you want but it means shit if you don’t have the will to adhere to it. The vast majority of the public knows their diet is shit but is too lazy to care. All the government warnings in the world will never change this salient fact. If I have to choose between drinking the beer I make and keeping a six pack year round, my delicious beer wins every time.
This is seperate from companies not informing the public what is being done to their food they are buying. If they decide to continue purchasing the products after the fact that is their choice. However the public has the right to know.

If the public wanted to know they could simply look it up themselves. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.

Then why have ingredients listed? Couldn’t the consumer find out themselves somehow?
Yes, by buying food from known and trusted sources. However, you corporatists/monopolists want to squeeze everyone into a one-size-fits-all box. Your leaders don’t want to allow people the freedom to choose from where their food comes. They want to force their products on people. If your leaders did that openly and honestly, they would be killed; instead, they do it with regulations that people are ignorant enough to believe are for “the common good”(or some such nonsense).
Then we simply have a difference of opinion. You do not think consumers should be informed about the products they buy and I do.
Processed foods should have this label :
“each time you eat that crap, God kills a kitten”
with an adorable lolcat picture on it.
But you people doesn’t understand the beauty of real socialism.

I would want something on the label where people do not eat Puffed Rice and the like and think they are making healthy decisions and an ABSOFUCKINGLUTLY on GMO.
I think if you put some elementary school teachers with some dietitians they could start to come up with a simple approach to diet
