Just bought Modern Warefare 2 today, popped it in, played multiplayer for all of 2 minutes, game freezes, red ring of gay. This is the 3rd time now and of all times it could happen. Why me? RAAAAAAAAAAATS!!!

That’s why i went with the PS3, plus you don’t have to pay for playstation network.

But all my homies have 360’s and I don’t have a ps3. This is such BS. I hate Microsoft now.

another win for PS3

How many bands are lit up? All 4 of mine are lit and now and apparently thats only covered for a year under warrenty. But 3 bands is covered for 3 years. Needless to say now i need to buy a new 360 FML

usually 4 bands means your component cables are bad or something along those lines… not properly plugged in etc… 3 rings is the only one that’s a problem any other number is easy to fix

do the ‘towel trick’. it works.

google it.

i’m not bullshitting. i have done it to mine and it works.

Tried it on my roommates last year. Didn’t work.

My xbox has all 4 rings lit and i tried my friends cords, no luck. Although not his power cord as it didn’t fit, they must have updated them or something. Could i get 4 rings from a faulty power cord?

it actually took me 4 hours to get the game working on my pc, haha

Towel trick is a bad idea. It’s sort of like loading up on pain killers for working out. Sure, it takes care of the pain, but other shit is happening that could be very bad

Just go to the Xbox website and get it taken care of. They paid for everything for me and it took maybe a week or so to get it back. The warranty got extended if I’m not mistaken because so many of them had issues.

Ya, I did the same. My 360 was out-of-warranty, but they still took care of the problem when I got the red ring of death.

I’ve had the red ring of death a few times on my xbox. everytime it happens I just reset it and, poof, it works. Never seen it happen with anyone elses red ring problems however, so, sorry that my xbox is way cooler than yours op. I’m going to play my MW2 after work today and when I do, i’ll kill someone just for you, k?

Was nice to pick it up for the PS3 on Tuesday…get home, pop it in, download a quick update and start playing. Ahhhh gotta love it.

I’d mock you people for continuing to buy 360’s, but I guess owning one is punishment enough.

Timeout…

Nice avatar.

PC is much better. Downloaded on steam a few weeks ago, and waited for it to activate from my couch. No camping outside of a gamestop. Have a problem with the game-fix it yourself. I have Games for Windows Live installed, and play with guys of Xbox live
