diet looks good. flour is the devil. amazing how crappy I feel just by eating bread/baked goods of nearly any kind. [/quote]
Over the last few months, I have noticed similar crappiness from baked “treats”.
Oh, and the aliens are not the stone-faced neighbors that don’t go outside much. It’s not like the movies. It’s the awesome neighbors that you need to watch…sneaky f*ckers those aliens. But i’m on to them.

but you can only tell for sure with the ice cream.
it was great to feel decent about squats. I am still going to drop my training max 20 lbs so I can get some reps. i was really strict on the gms and overworked my right hamstring. this is gonna hurt bad tomorrow! when attempting pd abz it felt like it was tearing something loose in my back, so stopped after 2 sets.
the comeback trail is going to be long and bloody, I can see that.

Lifties
My DOMS started with no delayed onset. it was great lifties, the gms were super strict, and I am in some severe pain. even though the numbers are low, it was my best squat day of at least 5 months, so of course it hurts.
i will squat today for lunch, even if the world ends.

you should have seen me try to do hindu squats. like a tyrannosaur trying to shit a golden volkswagen. i gave up after 3.
my entire pchain has seized up like a 1940 ford with no oil. last night (the 19th) I did some gms at 95 lbs hoping to get some blood into the hammies, but I woke up today with something out of sorts in my back. i’ll spend the rest of the day (1/20) whining and trying to stretch this out. military day today, have to do it, may not be able to do any accessory work. this is a very high price to pay for a good squat workout, but luckily, this usually only has to happen once when you come back

even worse than the day before. the tweak in my back was bad enough that I couldn’t even do militaries. I have had these before, and I know that if I lift or do anything hard, it will never go away.
I am bumming that I couldnt do anything for 2 days in a row, but I have stayed on the diet, and my weight has been stable.

Best to be sensible and take an extra day or so, rather than rush back too soon and make it worse.
82 out of 90 is excellent. That percentage keeps going up and up.

I’m really laughing out loud. I actually have tears in my eyes right now. Why golden? Definitely quote of the week. I’ll be actively searching for conversations to casually use this line in. Thank you.

I survived many offers of free cookies, and had only a tiny sliver of cake that was so small that I can’t count it agains myself
thanks to the crick in my back, I couldn’t go skiing on sunday, but the hip is much better, as is the knee. Tracking it like this is a pain in the ass for me, so it can’t be much fun for you guys.
Wont have a chance to ski until feb 12 when some friends are coming. gives me another 3 weeks.
hey steve, no driver. the spot where i push is pretty flat, so the car won’t get away from me. since the key isn’t in the ignition, the steering wheel is locked, so it goes fairly straight.
i think it was a mistake to push the car on a lifting day while i am still so out of shape. I think it is too much for my weakling recovery system. I was depressed and listless after lifties, although I felt good about the amount of work I did.
also felt bad about failing to press 180. I have pressed 175 at the end of a session many times, but I could only get it up to the top of my head. have to be smarter about this. Finally, felt an unpleasant warming where the biceps tendon inserts on the forearm. I will have to start doing some barbell curls to strengthen the tendon. and get that double peak. you know.
