Wish snapper was going to be here when you come, Im sure youd get more out of her lifts.
Plus the entertainment factor with the both of us would be priceless.
Lol, hopefully i’ll show ya how not to do that…if i am worth a dam as a coach
Kinda funny when people were staring at my shins today.
Problem with bleeders, they won’t stop now until i take a week off from deadlifting…so do you know first aid stuff…lol, jk.
Ouch, you and snapper together deadlifting…ha ha, now that would be a treat…i think…you two might run me right out of the gym though…
And FYi, your lifts are better than you think. You do some shit that is hard to teach and it comes natural too you, anxious to see how you bench. Be prepared to be a pwerlifter before too long…
Sled drag this weekend was more recovery oriented. Kept weights light to follow in line with my lower intensity week of training. Lighter weights didn’t get my heart rate up much but helped get some soreness/stiffness out.
Saturday Sled drag
4x60 sec each with 60 seconds rest between
Bench
Row
Front raise
Tri ext
Flies
Lat raise
Post delt
Sunday Sled drag
8x3 min walk with 2 min rest between
alternated between forward and backward pulls
Squat day today
12" box
315/3x5
Lowered bar a bit and sat back a bit more. I use the box for depth and pause as much as anything. I try squat in a way that i could perform with no box.
High bar close stance box squat (16" box)
275/315/365 x8 haven’t done these in a while so started light
front squat
185/3x8
Walk lunge
45/3x10 E 60 sec rest between sets
SL Bulgarian squat
45/3x10 E, no rest between sets

365 lbs is “light” is it?
Be interested to see some of your “heavy” squats!
Lol, no i started light (275), 365 pretty much buttered the biscuit for today…
Also it is a pretty high squat (16" box), i try to get into a position that is like the start of a pull of a conv deadlift
Hey Pete,
Funny you should ask. I think it was from Bob’s Belts? I traded a guy who had already traded a guy for a belt in 1982. It all leather and fits like a glove but is still stiff where it needs to be. I don’t think they make them like that anymore?
On the volume, i am going to try that flat loading week, (maybe 60-70% ish) then alternate with a week where i build up to heavy 5’s? We’ll see how that goes. Will be by feel as much as anything?

I was going to ask about that-
I had an ancient pair of adidas ironstars or something I traded for in like 95.
and they where old then.
nice work on the box squats.
I like doing those my neck says no.

I remember the old Adidas, they were the shit back then.
I think they stopped making the pumas in the early 80’s but not sure. I actually found 2 pair that some had sitting in storage (think it was Crain) and bought them, 86 i think. I hope they make it a bit longer. I am looking at some do wins though, as a back up.
Body weight right at 200 and holding steady.
And it freaks me out watching you squat/dl… it looks like your legs are 4 feet long. Heh. Of course, it may just seem so to me since my torso is like 4 feet long.
