ha ha ha ha, ya that’s me…Mr drama…

I just realized i never put last weeks 405 squat vid up.
You can see i was struggling to keep shoulders/upper back tight and depth was a bit high. Was first time i had 405 on my back in a while.

Not bad though. When I struggle with keeping upper back tight, and pitch forward a little, a good ‘chin up’ command correct this.

Thanks Pete, a descent start. You are so right on the chin up and i have to make a mental note. I usually end up training by myself and don’t get the immediate form ques that help so much. But it is what it is and i need to be creative in self correcting during the lift.
Same for the shoulders back que, always helped me a ton. But sometimes what i think i am doing and what i see on video…ouch

Sometimes I wish I trained alone, lol. We tend to yell at each other alot.

Always interesting to me how small changes too can make a lift way harder. I had my hands out way wider than usual last night, and I know that made my back less tight. 375 + bands felt heavier than 505 + bands from a couple weeks ago. Or at least that is my excuse for now…

I know exactly what you mean. The stronger ya get the bigger the little things become.
I am also going to switch my weekly template next week so i can squat Monday with fresh shoulders instead of Tuesday squat after Monday upper work.
I also have to keep in mind that i am training in a fatigued state so to speak. When i go to less volume/10 day micro cycle my technique usually comes together a bit.

I don’t know about you but for me it seems i have several levels of training stages and sometimes hard to stay in that stage so to speak. Like right now kinda training to train stage, and my level of technique sharpness (?) and emotional excitement kind of represent that, then go into a heavier stage of training cycle with reduced volume and have to play the microcycle length by ear, arousal level gets increased a bit in workouts. Then go into a fully recovered, high arousal, sharp technique, sub max singles etc training stage to get ready for a new max. OK now i am completely rambling.
Make any sense?

Some technique work today. Tried to focus on getting better push off floor with legs before pulling with back. Also tried to get shoulders set back better.

LOL!!, I thought I had a pop-up ad or something playing the music in a diff window.

You need to speed up the video for that kind of music, so it will look more Chaplin-esque.
