Lol G, I went all mixed Asian metaphors on you. There was an old TV series from the early 70s (…you know you’re old when…) called Kung Fu starring David Carradine where he was taken in by Shaolin monks and taught kung fu plus all sorts of life lessons. All the monks called him Grasshopper, and Grasshopper called all his teachers Master.
The moral of the story: call all your acolytes Grasshopper, and have them call you Master in return!

Yes he did! Then to top it off he snatched pebble from Master’s hand, and it was time to leave! LOL.
Always thought that show had the ultimate, baddest ass way to get a tattoo. That cauldron of coals scene is my absolute favorite, wonder why Quentin Tarantino hasn’t stolen it already.
Try to take it easy on the young guys today haha
Thanks Upscale, really appreciate it. Yes looks like ill have have to have one for good measure. The young guys leave everyday shaking their heads lol…but their getting better!

Pit shark 2x20

Spl squat (in line lunge,FMS style) 3x8E
Bent knee back ext on GH x15 x12 x11 really fried erectors…ouch, had small playground ball between knees

Hope you have a wonderful birthday. It’s a gorgeous day here. Hope it’s equally beautiful there.
I must try the BB hip thrusts. Are they good for single leg? I’m kind of on my single-leg kick these days.
I’d be very curious to know what you mean by “taking nutrition to the next level.”
I forgot ive done them single leg, put the plate on the side you want to load and foot up on bench, then rep and cry Umm 5s for the BSS? IS it a balance thing? /Hijack

Hey Snap - sorry to butt in G - but I just tried single legged hip thrusts (shoulders and feet elevated) and yeah, they are HARD! And fantastic! I would definitely recommend them. Especially if youre like me and have overzealous hammies and are in a “figure out what’s wrong with my body” mode. Talk about recognizing imbalances. Despite having had surgery on my right leg, my left cheek apparently refuses to thrust! I could barely eek out 12 reps with a 15lb db on my lap.
Thank you Frenchie, Snap and Maschy.
Well Snap there is your answer! As long as you can make the glute fire they are great…And my hijacked thread even got highjacked…i think thats a first! Lol.
For nutrition i need to:
rely less on bars and shakes and eat more real food (will keep some prot powder and organic food bars though)
Get my carb sources from red skin potatoes, yams and maybe brown rice versus flour products (ie pasta)
and get more vegetables in on a daily basis (ala pics UP posts of her plate is about right!)

I’ve just never done these before. So I did them unweighted the first week. Then added 5-lbers this week. Will just keep adding weight every week. Not really in a rush.
Just abs today. I bagged the ramp for roll outs, didn’t feel like i was progressing?
So went back to kneeling on floor with wheel
Set 1 x35
Got tired of doing them before i got a good burn, then got an idea.
Knelt on a 5 inch box and did them, 15 was hard
Went to 7 inch box and 10 was hard, now I’m getting somewhere.
Last 2 sets i did standing with feet on one side of box and wheel on other, roller out and as i got straighter my shins layed across the box so it was like and unload at the toughest point then rolled back to standing position 2x10 did me in. Next week trying standing with 5 inch box.
Finished with HL raise 2x15.
edit: watched vid, more like knees layed across the box. But you get the idea and i think it is going to be a way to keep lowering the height until i don’t eventually touch. I’ll keep you posted.
