Myron Floren could flat out jam on an accordian.
Welcome to the geriatric wing of the gym.

Thanks Hawk.
Ok off the subject but had a walk down memory lane this morning. You guys could probably relate.
Passed 3 Dodge Challengers on way to work. I want one so friggin bad i could taste it. Had a 70 special edition in high school and wish i would have kept it. Then i started thinking about the funniest shit. Had air shocks, painted under neath, craigers, 50’s (i think) on the back, 8 track and fm converter under the dash, Springsteen and Skynard 8 track with a pack of matches near by incase tape dragged and you had to put matches under one side. Some sort of felt on dash, speakers mounted on rear dash, cooler in trunk for beer. Back then you could drive through beer store when u were in high school unless LCB was in town. Holy shit, i was laughing. Ok enough BS

My training partner just got a Challenger. God damn they are sweet machines.
My wife says I should trade in my Durango for a new one. My thoughts are I should give her my Durango, and get a muscle car…
Dam Pete, you are going to get me riled up. I’ve been afraid to even sit in one cause i know i’ll be going home with it.lol.
I am no car expert by any means but it seems that the replica of the new challenger is very close to the old one versus some of the others they have brought back.
I would definetly get a muscle car if i was you…
Yesterday was off, needed some rest
Today
Shoulders were a little cranky and fatigued from Monday. Goal is to get some volume with medium wts and build some work capacity. Also if i can get back to OH lifts, inclines, dips, and some decline work i think my bench will improve.
Shoulder mob/stab
@ min rest between all sets
Bench+gr bnd
225/5x5
Narrow bench+gr bnd
185/5x5
Db incline (not too steep)
75/2x5
85/3x5
Db Decline (not too steep)
75/5
85/5
95/3x5
Db row
80/4x8
T-bar row (bar in corner, pre historic style)
138/8
155/3x8
Ya it worked me pretty good. I plan on hitting one or two high volume cycles. As long as i keep intesity in the medium range i think i’ll be fine. If it gets to be too much then i’ll have to adjust. As i get closer to hitting peak strength the volume goes down quite a bit.
Hm…interesting. What do you mean by ‘peak strength’?
Nice benching sir![/quote]
Thanks Maschy,
I am going to string a few cycles together, 1-2 volume based cycles, probably 2 strength based cycles, then finish with a cycle to peak my strength out so too speak, then max. So when i go into a peak strength type cycle it will be low volume, triples, doubles and sub max singles.
Belated welcome. Really good numbers and like your choice of lifts. Satellite TV has the RFD Channel, carries Lawerence Welk AND Hee Haw reruns. Comes on right after Polka USA. Hot time.

Hey!!! Finally stopped by. Hate to admit it but you outwork me about everyday and your abs kill mine but i am trying to catch ya. And thanks for letting me bounce my nutrition questions off ya, keeping me straight that’s for sure, i owe ya.
And yes i do need to lean up a bit.
Weights used really varied and the surface i pulled on was terrible so didn’t really need much weight. It was a shiny floor (not rubber), but not slippery and the sled would scuff it so i taped a beach towel around the sled. I should get compensated for shining the floor…lol

Power snatch (ok muscle snatch) ok ok stiff leg, front raise overhead catch, lol
50kg 5x5
Push press behind neck 60kg 2x5, 70kg 3x5
Weight dips, made some changes here, i set rack up so feet touched floor at just above a parallel dips, then paused straight leg on floor which aleviated a lot of shoulder stress
45/70/90/135/180 x6
Power snatch (ok muscle snatch) ok ok stiff leg, front raise overhead catch, lol

Ha Ha. I know exactly what you mean.
I call mine a snatch but it’s barely a power snatch really. I just can’t drop under the bar, I’m flexible enough, so I must just be too stupid. It annoys the hell out of me.
