Old Protein Powder

I’m home on a break from school for the weekend and I was digging around in the closet and found some old protein powder. Its been sitting in there probably for about 5 or 6 years now. The stuff has been completly blocked from any sunlight or extreme temps the whole time, is it still useable or should I just toss it. If I did use it I’d probably just use a scoop or two when I’m in a bind (like when I run out of Grow! and I’m waiting for the new shipment to arrive, etc). Thanks for the input.

Ugh. Dude, toss it. I found some that had sat for 3 years in similar conditions, and the sour smell when I opened the lid just about gagged me. When you’re talking in terms of years, none of the other stuff matters; the bacteria present in the air it was packed in has had more than enough time to do its job. Even if the shit doesn’t make you puke, you can be sure you are getting little, if any benefit from it as a supplement.

yeah it smelled a little gnarly when i opened it but i figured that it was just because it was shitty tasting gnc vanilla flavor.

i have a similar question…i left some Surge in my car while i was moving for a couple days and the heat completely turned all of it very hard. instead of it being a very fine powder there are now huge rock-like chunks. should i buy more or just shake it up? The bottle itself is about 5 months old as well.

I would just break it up… Its just where the inside of the bottle sweats which puts moisture in it… no harm is done…
