I finally broke the 223 barrier this morning. I hit 222. I know it’s only a pound, but mentally it’s a big deal. I’ve been stuck at 223 for a couple of weeks.

I was down another pound this morning. I’m down to 221. I am figuring 210 will be my goal.

Today was solid. My legs are really feeling it.

Just some cardio today. It would be nice to hit 210 by my retirement at the end of February.

I’m sure it was a gym first tonight. I was thinking about my dad, so I trained to Marty Robbins Greatest Hits. My dad loved Marty Robbins. The songs are still good after all these years.

I travel to El Paso every 6 weeks or so, and I always hear Marty Robbins in my head when I get there.

I listened to it twice.

I tried my hand at the Cuban presses. I must say I liked it and I thought it was a good way to finish off.

I had two people come up to me at the gym to tell me how good I look since my weight loss. So far it has only been dudes, but I assume the ladies are noticing too. :grinning:

Just some light cardio tonight. I’m trying to save my legs for deadlifts on Sunday. My next meet will be May 16th. I’ll try for 220. It will be my final year in the 48-55 group. It will also give me state records in three weight classes for that age range.

5:00 AM on a Saturday. I had to take my daughter to the airport, so I was out early. It was deload bench week. I decided to do CT Fletcher’s bench marathon. It is 20 sets of 135. The first set is one rep, the second is two and so on until you get to 20 reps. The last couple of sets you can really feel the pump.
