Congrats for sure.
It seems 30 years in law enforcement is above average. Congratulations on your milestone. Good job as well on your 90 minutes.
Thanks all. I’m going to continue teaching at the university. My wife has a bunch of home improvement projects planned next year. My goal is also to get in the best shape of my life in my mid-50s.

I moved pretty fast tonight.
I finally broke the 225 barrier this morning. I came in at 224. I know it’s only one pound, but I have been stuck at 225 for weeks.
Yay! Hopefully you’ve it break the barrier and things will start going your way.

I got a fast one in after we arrived home again this afternoon. I woke up at 5:00 AM yesterday and knocked out some cardio before we left.
I have a conference this week. It’s only 90 minutes away, so I am driving back and forth. I should be able to train Monday and Thursday, but I’ll have to figure out something the other two days. Monday and Thursday are only half days.

My conference does not start until this afternoon, so I got a morning session done. Soon this will most likely be my daily time. I’ll probably do some kind of cardio Tuesday and Wednesday. I really want to get to 220 by Thanksgiving and 215 by Christmas.

The conference got over way early, so I drove home and hit the gym. It’s been a while since I have been there mid-day, during the week.
Tomorrow, I am driving across the state to turn in my retirement paperwork. Since I am in three state retirement systems, you can’t do it online. After working for the government for over 30 years, I don’t trust the government. Therefore, I want to hand someone my paperwork, rather than mail it in.

The paperwork was filed yesterday, and I’ll get my first retirement check March 31st. Others have told me to take a couple months and chill out when you first retire. It gives you time to flush everything out.

Yesterday I read something from Lee Haney. He said he always kept hack squats light and never went above 200. He said it was more important to concentrate on the quads. That’s what I did here. I dumped weight and worked on depth and exploding up.
Congratulations. I am about 2 1/2 years out. I want to find a used camper van and take my wife and large German Shepherd on a road trip. I like the desert and there are places in Nevada my Grandpa used to take me. I remember the names, I even remember some of the people. The people will be gone now, but the places remain. Enjoy!
I recommend not watching daytime tv. Glad you’re keeping the teaching job.
Thanks. We’re for sure going to travel. My wife probably has five to ten more years to work. We talked about spending winters in Navada or Arizona.
Yep. A person has to stay busy. My wife has some home improvement projects lined up and I want to dedicate myself to the yard. I was telling some friends I need to find a place to drink coffee with the other old guys. I can be the young guy in the group.
Well, you did always want to be old. Ha.
