I think what’s crazier are the pendelum squats 1 x 10 w/140.
It’s a fairly wide belt. I will say they are much easier than traditional back squats. It’s more like a standing leg press.
Yeah, I’m starting to get the feel of it. I’ll probably stay there for a while.
Yeah. I have done them, just with no where near the weights you are doing. ![]()

Leg recovery any different?
I’m not sure. I tend to think back squats are more stressful. What about you?

Still no AC at the house. We paid for expedited delivery of the part. It was supposed to be here today. When my wife called, they acted like they had no idea. It was 95 today and it’s supposed to be 101 tomorrow. They replaced the same part last year. I told them I don’t think I should be paying for the labor twice. The manager sort of agreed. We’ll see…
I still don’t have access to a pendelum squat machine. Bet initially they produce some serious soreness, like extreme hack squats?
Yep, you really feel it on the quads.

Still no AC. It’s 101 outside and 87 inside my house. Hopefully tomorrow is the day.
I hope it is. We didn’t have power for a week after the hurricane last July. Just miserable.
Yep. My wife and daughter like to remind me we didn’t have AC when I was a kid. I remind them, we were poor and didn’t know any better. I even went to work early today just to enjoy the coolness of my office.
Kinda like being “crippled”? Ha
Without a doubt.

I’ve never done the gauntlet in the middle before. My arms were really screaming after that.
They fixed the AC today, and feel I like a civilized person again.
No training tomorrow. I was convinced by some people at work to play in a golf tournament next month. I haven’t had the clubs out in two years, so I’m taking lessons with my wife and daughter. I don’t want to look too overly stupid.

I did two hours of yardio after work, followed by and an hour and a half of golf lessons. The lesson was really cool. We’re doing it every Thursday this month. If it works out, I might do another month.
Also, my wife and I recently started to clean up our diets. It was for different reasons. She’s worried about her A1C and I just want to drop some weight. As of today, I am down 13 pounds in two weeks. I don’t feel I am eating less, and I really have not been hungry. I have a fitness app on my phone, and I have hit all three of my daily goals every day for nearly a month.
What are you doing with the diet?
I have pretty much eliminated carbs, and no snacks after 7:00 PM.
I always fall back to that when I need to drop weight. Started Monday and down 4 lbs this week. Will probably do 4 more weeks at least. I do eat carbs on Saturdays, though. Keeps me sane and I feel better overall
Same. I had a cheeseburger last Saturday.
