Leg Curls:
4 sets x 10 reps x 125
Ok, 275 x 15 is no joke at the end of a pulling session. I thought my fat ass was going to have a heart attack. Good stuff though. I like the challenge of a burnout set at the end.
47 rep deads. Heart attackish sounds about right.
My legs feel it today.

I am reminded why I used to love working out in the morning. The 3:30 PM crowd is way different than the 5:00 AM or 7:00 AM crowds.
Fewer animals in AM?
Less knuckleheads in the morning.

In the words of Robert Frank, “that was a sick pump.”
Sunday is normally DL day. I slept like piss, so I moved things around. With the holiday Monday, I moved deads back a day.
5/27/19
Deadlift:
135 x 10, 185 x 5, 225 x 3, 275 x 1, 315 x 1, 365 x 3, 405 x 3, 405 x 2, 405 x 1, 315 x 5, 275 x 10
Leg Curls:
4 sets x 10 reps x 125
Since I did not get my normal two weeks between deadlift sessions, I was a little worried about how things would work. It was not too bad. I did not go as heavy, but it was still a good work.
I am feeling stronger with the new stance, and I think it will be my way forward.
A 44 rep deadllift workout is powerful.
Feeling stronger seems about right from my perspective. If I skip deadlifts for awhile and just do row work, my deadlift poundages tend to increase. Still, I feel guilty skipping them, though I only get to about 20.
Yeah, it seems that when I deadlift weekly I make no gains. Of course I have fallen into that trap many times, by doing too much.

After Work Conditioning
Farmers’ Carry
6 - 40 Yard Sprints
Backwards
Crossover
Change of Direction
Agility Ladder
One Long Sprint
I decided now was the time to get back into after work conditioning. I did it last year and I lost at least 10 pounds over a short period of time.

Svend Press:
4 sets x 50 reps x 3 plates (10s)
I took today off to get some final yard work done, prior to the graduation party tomorrow.
I was able to workout with my old 7:00 AM crew.
My ass came off the bench at 405.
Hope your party’s a success.
Thank you. It was a good time with plenty of family and friends. We already decided, however, when our son graduates college next year, we’ll just take everyone out for dinner. It’s cheaper and less work. If he gets his law degree after that, I may go all out again.
6/2/19
Rack Pulls:
315 x 10, 365 x 6, 405 x 5, 455 x 4, 505 x 3, 525 x 2, 565 x 1, 405 x 5, 315 x 10
Front Squats:
135 x 5, 185 x 5, 225 x 5, 245 x 5
Leg Extensions:
4 sets x 10 reps x 190
Not bad considering my legs were already tired and I forgot my earbuds. The Brittney Spears songs on the gym radio, don’t really fire me up.
Excellent workout.
Law degree…
I recommend getting to know all kinds of people, lift consistently to clear the mind, and don’t become a lawyer just for money. ( i.e., Avannatti the poster boy.) Once out of school–well-- best story for 2019: guy lost his truck license plate so he borrowed wife’s car’s plate to go to work, and forgot to return it. Wife called cops who arrested him for misdemeanor theft. He pissed off the female duty officer who arrested him while he tried to explain it was his car (community property) but titled to wife. This guy had a swamp scene tattooed on a bicep, and a vice grip handshake…and a divorce filed last Friday.
He’s been studying for the LSAT pretty hard. He is going to intern for the prosecutor’s office where he goes to college. He would like to attend Gonzaga. His practice scores are high enough to get in, and his GPA is pretty high as well. We’ll see…
