Look “Julius Caesar” (who was bisexual by the way) - we could give a flying fuck if you like soccer, think it’s gay or whatever.
I have no clue why you think that it has to be one or the other. Comparing soccer and American football is like apples and oranges - they are too completely different games. I really like the NFL too, in fact, I probably know more about it than you do, you fucking moronic troglodyte.
Stop trollin this thread with your inane bullshit. You only end making yourself come off like a bigger idiot than you have already shown yourself to be.
Have a nice day, numbnuts.

Yaeh, so is Ice Hockey. How great your nation is at losing to Europe at it in the Winter Olympics, considering they don’t even play it at a national level.
Come on, soccer isn’t gay and the US isn’t good at it. Just leave it at that.
Hockey is actually a Canadian sport. I don’t think that we do so bad at it either. As for soccer, yes it is a gay, boring sport for pencilnecks who probably couldn’t bench 3 diigits.

Jealous my eye. Soccer is simply too gay for Americans. We play real sports like football.
Then why did you join the world cup then, huh?
Yo rsg, don’t take the rantings of my idiotic, xenophobic countryman to imply that he speaks for greater America.
True, many Americans are still ambivalent about the World Cup - but each WC the interest in the event is growing - much as these louts would hate to admit it.
The USA joined the WC because there are people in this country who truly enjoy the game and want to see the USA team do well.
Oh well, till 2010.
Please… Soccer has been trying to make it in America for how many years now? The only shot that soccer has at being popular here is if George Bush makes those 20 illegal alien soccer fans from Mexico citizens or likewise fills up this country with more 3rd worlders.

Really, how come it’s the most popular youth sport in the US?
Moron.
The only reason more kids don’t stay with soccer is that usually the best athletes move on to other sports where the prospects of making serious cash are much better, like football, basketball, and baseball, hell, even hockey.
If there were money in US soccer - it would be bigger. Period.
Well MORON, if it was more popular, then it would earn revenue like the other sports that you mentioned and could pay athletes big money.
So what if some kiddies play it? All that makes it is a kiddie sport.
Jesus, the reason you are such a MORON is because you are tooling on something you know absolutely nothing about. This is why you should just shut the fuck up and leave this thread. With each post you are come off as a bigger retard.
Soccer earns revenue - up the ass - in fact Man U and Real Madrid in Europe earn way more money than the NY Yankees - why it’s a global, not just American fanbase.
The reason why American kids go to other sports is because the big European/South American clubs do not scout in the US for the most part, unless there is some mutant talent here like Freddy Adu. Therefore there is no incentive for a kid to go pro. And seriously, what American parent is going to let his kid go abroad at age 8 to enroll in a soccer academy like all the elite European/ South American players do?
Not many - it’s those inherent institutional limitations that keep soccer a fringe sport in the US
Now, please stop polluting this thread with your ignorant nonsense.
Moron.

God, not only is he racist (see his Bush/3rd worlder comment), a closeted homo (I mean his homophobic obsession with the supposed “homosexuality” of soccer players belies a latent obsession with gay sex - which of course means that you have repressed homo tendencies that you hide with these retarded rants of yours), and insecure (if you can’t bench 3 digits - you aren’t a real man? - what does 3 digits mean? 100? 300? ).
Why are you so threatened by soccer, dude? Why the obsessive hatred?
Issues, muppetboy, issues…maybe you and HH should go explore your repressed homo tendencies together.

Based on the pics on this thread and what I’ve seen around Toronto, I would have to go with Ecuador and Brazil.
Although with the pics on here Germany is right up there, didn’t know there were so many beauts…might have to make it a stop on my European vacation?
Well I had picked Czech Republic to be a smokey with Brazil and England to be a show of winning. I think Brazil is starting to play into form.
But this proud Aussie boy is excited that the socceroos made it to the final 16. We get to play Italy.

Your level of ignorance is completely astonishing. Did you actually read what you wrote before hitting submit? Let’s review:
I guess it never occurred to you how much the top soccer stars make, huh? So David Beckham’s $32.5 million is nothing? Or Ronaldo’s $23 million?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11961246/
Or how about the most valuable sports franchises in the world? Oddly enough, soccer teams fare very well in comparison to NFL teams and tend to do much better than MLB or NBA:
Soccer
NFL
MLB
NBA
But I appreciate your really ill-thought out posts since they gives me something to laugh about. The downside about them is I like a challenge and well… you ain’t doing much in that category, ace.

I never said that you couldn’t go anywhere in the world and not make money playing soccer, so I don’t know why you are posting all of this for.
What I said was that you will not make nearly as much money playing soccer in the US because it isn’t a major sport like the others are.

Three digits implies that they can’t bench any number that has 3 digits, like 100. If your IQ was at least 3 digits, which it isn’t, you would have comprehended that.

Please… Spare me the freshman Freud psychobabble. I am not “threatened” by a kiddie sport and I don’t have homo tendencies, so don’t get your hopes up.
I hate the fucking sport because it is boring and unmanly. I also hate golf too for similar reasons.
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE! OI OI OI!!!
Where is the US? Hmmm… Oh that’s right - not in round 2. What did the US coach say? Not a chance Australia would score a goal let alone get through to round 2. Hmmm…

Dude, look back at your own posts. You made a blanket statement and now are backpedaling. It is a major sport with major revenue. Hell, the European clubs are beginning to make serious inroads here in the U.S. with a fan base.

YOU BLOODY BEAUTY!!! Of course they had to give the nation a collective heart attack in doing so, the Socceroos don’t know any other way, LOL!
I don’t think there is any doubt that Mark Schwarzer will be back in goals against Italy, Kalac had a shocker, hi fumbled save that led to Croatia’s second goal was unforgiveable.
Harry Kewell finally stepped up with the performance we have been waiting for.
And we were finally awarded a penalty after god knows how many fouls against our attackers in the box during the tournament.
Bruce Arena said before the WC that Australia was in the WC to “just make up the numbers”. Well Bruce, we are making up the numbers, along with the other 15 teams in the second round!!!
Bring on the Azzuri!!!
GO AUSTRALIA!!!

My various gods, this geek is getting to be a nuisance.
Look, I’ll post you a picture of your repressed football fantasies so you can go and whack the hell off. Just don’t come back, asshole. Leave the manly talk and the hotties to the big boys.

Speaking of the hotties for us big boys:
Ay yi yi. As should be a surprise to no one, the girls from Brazil are the hottest.

“3 digits” is not common English usage - it is really bad slang. If you wish to engage in a discussion at least use semi-comprehensible language - it helps to get your point across, understand?

Then go start an “I hate golf” thread and leave us the fuck alone already.

Thanks for making my point.
Now you know why our best athletes go into the NFL, etc. It’s not because we hate soccer inherently, it’s just that if you are a US athlete and want to continue to live in the US - you will make way, way more money playing in one of the established US pro leagues.
Now you understand why the best US athletes, many of which played soccer as kids, eventually leave the sport when they enter high school. The prospects of lucrative pro deals in the US are found in other sports. Not because the sport is “gay” or “unmanly”.
