As for sushi, there’s a little mom and pop place by me where the owner’s this super-sweet little old lady, acts like everyone’s grandma, remembers every customer’s usual, the whole nine. I know she’d yell at me for eating too much if I tried to really go to town, so I really do need to hit that Minado sushi buffet Rob mentioned to see what’s what.
I’m about 4lbs higher than I wanted to be. I have no idea how my body loses weight, nor what I should look like at certain points. I’m just constantly disappointed at how much I have to lose. Every lb I lose doesn’t seem to take as much off visually as I’d like. ![]()
Always an eye opener to realize how much more there is to go. I remember last year starting my diet, thinking if I got below 150lbs I’d be peeled and diced like an onion. Not even close. Currently 142 and still more to go. Keep plugging away brother!
Yeah, this can be frustrating. In the very beginning stages, if you are particularly soft like I used to be, visual changes happen in 20lb chunks, then 10lb chunks, then 5lb chucnks and eventually (when you are 6 pack lean) the individual lb’s can be noticeable… but thats at the VERY end and you have to be VERY lean.
Surprisingly, that’s somewhat reassuring…
Hopefully we will all be to this point in 12 weeks!
Well, yes, but weight also gets harder to lose. The 10 pounds has the same impact of the 20 pounds, but it takes the same effort too.
lol, ya… I just meant I’m down about 8 and the visual changes haven’t exactly been earth shattering.
I’m only down about 11 at this point and I started early.
Ya; except, you had a mile head start (which you earned of course)…
Down thirteen and the changes are noticeable. . . I look smaller and fatter, lol.
Hah. I was actually really de-trained in terms of hypertrophy work which has helped a lot too. I feel like I’ve been getting far more visual change than weight loss. I probably should have taken some circumference and skin caliper measurements before hand, but I didn’t.
Up 3 lbs but my waist is still the same, so I am calling it progress. Okay, it’s probably just fat, but at least it hasn’t gone down ![]()
The weight seems to be coming off very evenly for me, so there is no huge difference anywhere, everywhere is a little leaner but nothing is making me go wow
I think majority of the weight loss I have experience is the type under your abs, or just bloat. Waist is down a substantial amount and looking lots flatter but I don’t think I have lost much covering my abs as they are only a very little sharper.
Any guesses to my BF% here?
Hard to tell from shitty youtube but there is some striations and veins happening in the quads.
33.87%
What size shoe do you wear?
Also, you look great man. Hopefully, that’s where I end up at the end of this.
Leaner than me…
Lets call this the start of the March Check In’s:
Not real happy about where I’m at here, but I have lots of room to add cardio and take away food so I have that going for me. Still 181 and about 35.5" around the waist. Goal is to get that down to 33" by June 1’st.
Here is Beginning ~ > Last check in ~> Current
I would call my current condition the “easily sustainable” level of leanness. Currently only doing weight training sessions and Tabata bike sprints afterwards and still eating plenty throughout the day. No suffering at all involved here. Plan for this month is to add in cardio somewhere and take a small amount of calories out. I will likely a weighted vest walk on my non-training days.
Looks like you have plenty of options left to keep the weight coming off. I’m sure you can get to where you want to be with a few little changes
I spent 3 day drinking ridiculous amounts of beer in Budapest and eating very little
I did sneak a hungover gym session in with the 6kg dumbells the hotel had! Big session ![]()
