I can understand not liking soccer, yet that reason why would be because he has never played the sport before. I am willing to wager many people who ‘hate’ soccer love the sport where guys drive in a big circles, a few hundred times. Yup, that best example would be of Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks, win written all over THAT waste of time. I do think if Beck played a little futol, he would loose massive amounts of weight! ; ) He admits that is a problem for him : )

Look man. Yer gittin all exercised over nuthin. What difference does it make what anybody else thinks if you like it? I certainly am not really going to deduce anything about somebody based on their view of soccer. Lighten up. If anybody here saw you in a burning car with world cup bumper sticker on it they’d still pull you out.
And then throw you in front of a bus =]

THANKS!
Folks, if you haven’t seen the last 1/3 of that clip you are missin’ some good stuff. Classic Beck material![/quote]
No trouble. I can’t promise I’ll always have everything, but I try.

I missed like the first 10 seconds of this one. I forgot to set the computer up and had to start it manually as I realized it.
You think this is me excited?! Way to read way to much into my defense of the sport jajaja
I am glad you would pull me out of a car and then throw me in front a bus, the one your gf drives. Right? ; )
However, I would even pull a pedophile like sa, or a psychopath like mak out of the burning car. Not sure if I would run them over or drown them = )

Your right push, Beck hates soccer and there are many ‘red-blooded America’(s) who hate the sport as well. I don’t see the connection you are trying to show me.

You don’t get it, do you? You really don’t get it.[/quote]
I’ll give it a shot. Kneedragger you need to close your BBC tags with a / inside the and before the command.

The man’s in Idaho so maybe too much starch.
Sorry Trib, there is a delay between the time I reply and the time the post appears on the board and I didn’t ‘see’ my mistake until this morning. I am still waiting for the point push was trying to show me shrug

No trouble there kiddo lol. A bit o harmless fun is being had by all at your expense lol. Nobody actually cares that you didn’t close your quote tag. Happens to me too sometimes and I think Push is treating the soccer thing the same.
BTW, this one isn’t your fault. My example in your quote of me is causing it. =]
I have heard really only one argument with soccer. It goes something like this.
Soccer is for third world contries for the idea it does not cost a lot of money for 20 guys to buy a ball. All you use is your feet and any other part of your body except your hands and arms unless you are the goal keeper. This is a basic rudimentory function for all humans. The other sports that do well here in the states take a lot more money to run. Football takes a lot of money for pads, and the such. Also it takes people to specialize in the different positions. In soccer the only two prerequisites are you can run fast, and kick the ball where you want it to go. You have to obey a lot more rules than just do not kick the ball outside the white lines. The penalties in soccer are crap and pretty much subjective to the umpire, or whatever they are called, except maybe offsides. Flopping is condoned and all that is is poor sportsmanship. If you are really hurt they should take you out of the match for the rest of the match. Quit having a stretcher take you off the field and then you get up and come back on the field.
Second, it is really boring to watch. The scores end in 1-1 ties all the time. 80 minutes of running around and kicking the ball into the goal. This is why the fans need something to do the entire 80 minutes. The different chants and vuvuzelas (*sp) are nothing more than to keep the fans interested. Cricket is more fun to watch than soccer.
I know I was just goofin on the lad. He’s too self conscious. Needs to loosen up.
Personally soccer just bores me unless there’s a fight or a riot in the stands. I think Beck is saying, without outright saying it, that soccer is a femmy sport spawned by femmy pinko countries. In other words men running around in dolphin shorts reflects their societies =]
He manhandles O’Reilly every time he’s on the factor. I’m surprised he still has em on.

And that is about it when it comes to soccer. That is why it is the most popular sport in thrid world countries. Not too complicated.
The are alot of problems with soccer…
You have too many overpaid cry babies, who fall and cry for the most minimal shit on the face of the Earth. I have been watching the World Cup, and thinking, wow these guys cry over things that I would not have flinched at from my football days. Seriously, how would these guys handle a 260 lb linebacker drilling you at full speed and breaking your helmet? Back to soccer, another thing is that ties are allowed, and this could be the biggest flaw. If it was up to me, these guys would run til someone scored, or just take to penalty kicks if it was a tie after overtime.
Also with soccer, in most European and South American countries, there really isn’t another sport to cheer for. Things like basketball, baseball, and football are unpopular if not existent at all, so it’s really the only thing the people can follow and cheer for.
