Amazing physique! Great shoulders, arms and forearms, and stunning shoulder to hip ratio!
Still fat but at least I can deadlift 400lbs now.
Couldn’t replicate the lighting for my before pic but I’m not sure that matters much in this case…
Down 16lbs since March. Still have at least 20 to go. Wearing a 36 inch waist again. Was a 34 in high school, trying to get back below that.
Thighs are 29 inches now though…
Well, not quite what I hoped, but still leaner than I’ve ever been. I started in February, after vacationing in January. I’ll keep cutting after this too. Have some more weight to drop for my goals. I learned a lot the last 4 months, particularly, how to eat well despite traveling 3-4 days a week and eating out 90% of your meals.
Pretty happy with the results overall. Still a lot of work to be done over the years, but I’m pleased with the revelation that approaching nutrition in a (mostly) disciplined way really does make a huge difference. Was on a surplus since last September, got up to about 90 kg, and at the end of the deficit since late April am weighing in at 80.5 kg. Great job this year everyone!
Great progress folks!! Thanks for organizing this @Chris_Colucci
here´s my result:
Starting weight 89.2kg / 196.6 lbs down to 81.5kg / 179,6 lbs
from
to
Still way to go but am definitelly happy with the progress made so far.
Key achievments:
- went from 3x5 chins and dips to 8x8 supersets - “advanced” level as per Tip: 200 Reps for a Complete Upper Body
- finally added cardio. had been avoiding this for years, this challenge helped a lot in getting me started
- love handles around hips, especially when looking at the back, are gone
- arms grew thanks to chins and dips
looking forward to the 2020 challenge ![]()
Your front transformation is awesome but the back, dude… I don’t think anyone in here has you beat from that angle.
Holding a little water since starting a new physically demanding job so I upped my caloric intake to 5700 from 4200 defo gained a lot of strength since the before pic though.

June 1, 2019
age: 52

weight: 146.4 lbs
waist: 32"
neck: 15.5"
estimated BF (Navy calc): 13-14%

chest circumference: 37.5"
shoulder circumference: 47"
Not the most dramatic transformation in the world, but definitely on the road toward something better - hopefully by August. Want to get BF around 10%, which probably means another inch off the waist line and a bodyweight closer to 140 than 145, I suspect.
Given the weight loss, I’m pretty happy with my upper body mass gains. This was my main goal for the first half of the year doing CT’s 20 Pounds of Hollywood/Superhero Muscle program (after six weeks of 5/3/1 Rest Pause Challenge to start the year). Lost 11 pounds, but added a half inch on my upper arms and chest circumference, and an inch to shoulder circumference.
Will spend the rest of the summer doing 3x/week full body workouts to help bring my legs up to speed with everything else. That and tons more of cardio - which helped tremendously in creating the daily caloric deficit that allowed me to eat to fuel what gains I’ve gotten so far.
Looking forward to the August check in!
P.S. The seafood breakfast buffet at Salty’s was magnificent! A plate of salmon, a plate of clams, a plate of oysters, and a plate of mussels. And a birthday breakfast doughnut for good measure!
The classic reverse transformation.
Definitely let my diet slip this year, I wanted to gain weight but did it all the wrong ways ![]()
72kg → 77kg

Found old photo from 2018 thread for the 1 year transformation. I’ve weighed myself once a week for the last 2 years, apparently there’s only 2-3lbs difference in these 2 pics… I don’t believe it but numbers don’t lie
Nothing too crazy visually, but I’m about 20 lbs heavier at a similar/slightly higher body fat. Weight gain is always my issue, so that’s a fantastic 6 months for me.

That’s some very high pants there. Nice work though !
If you’re talking about the waist, I have a very short torso. If you’re talking about the length of the shorts, it’s to over compensate for the bird-like nature of my ankles
I was thinking waist. But who am I to judge ![]()
If I wore pants at the top of my hipbone, it’s a full 3 inches below the start of my butt on the backside. I’d need the pants to stay perfectly in place to avoid being labeled as a plumber. Instead, I go for the grandpa style and hike things up.
That’s an amazing transformation man! You went from soft to shredded in no time at all! You’ve got my vote!
I submitted mine back in March. Here they are again to make finding them easier @Chris_Colucci
I would like to congratulate all who finished! Spending a good chunk of time grinding away at some self improvement isn’t easy and you are all stronger for it. Way to go!

Thank you, mate, you are very kind! And you’ll have my vote, because your transformation is simply… STUNNING! Congratulations ![]()
