Tip:Focus
I find that having focus in the gym can make or break a workout. Don’t waste time, you’re there for a reason, to make gains. As far as i know (i haven’t seen any groundbreaking research proving me wrong yet) screwing around for 5 minutes between sets talkin or doin whatever, doesn’t build muscle. Rest when needed, but keep focused towards your goal. I find that even if i’m stressed or busy, if i just sit in the locker room before goin to work out, take a couple deep breaths and visualize how the workout is gonna go, it’ll go much better than rushing in without any purpose or focus.
now i would like some mag 10, but yay canada, so i guess i’ll settle for some tribex.
I have found my best strength gains come from doing full body workouts as opposed to certain muscle groups on given days. Gimme some Hot-rox please
I have found that for me at my age, I respond more if I train each body part at least twice a week. I did the each body part once a week thing for a while, and it was just a waste of time.
Surge please.
This is an old tip, but still as true today as it has ever been:
To maximize strength and size stick to the compound movements and freeweights - they are far superior to machines. Free weights will help to develop stability, balance, coordination, while also improving ones’ stabilizing muscle groups. The problem with machines is that they lock you in to a less-than-optimal movement pattern which makes them inferior for strength/size gains - plus they don’t provide the real-world benefits of moving freeweights.
I’d like to give the Hot-Rox a go if I am chosen. Thanks!
To keep pesky weenies away while doing o-lifts or other odd looking lifts at a regular gym, make sure to wear the Testosterone shirt with the big yellow letters
Oh and o-lifts should be learned properly and utilized by everyone. Gimme some Mag-10.
Nathan
TIP: Try this cable row variation.
During the concentric portion of the movement row explosively to your upper chest, at midpoint bring the bar down towards your lower abs, and control the eccentric portion of the movement (lower more slowly).
So the bar does not move in a straight line but in a “U” pattern. Go fairly heavy and keep the movement fluid.
This is great for the upper-back AND the lats.
I’d love to get some Biotest Surge!
Here’s my tip:
When doing heavy bench work make sure to squeeze the hell out of the bar, while pushing above the chest (not shoulders and neck) and keep your shoulder blades together during the whole movement.
I would love to give some Hot Rox a try.
To provide extra stability in the lifts breathing is important.A good rule of thumb is if the torso is going into extension then you breathe out to apply an opposing force on the extension. If you are going into flexion you breathe in.This follows the rules of breathing Biomechanics
I would like to try some Red Kat
Thanks
My tip is for those of you who want to increase your strength in any lift. Don’t be afraid to do the lift two days in a row! Just don’t go to failure! Go really heavy on one day, the next day lighten the load a little bit. Actually doing the movement is key in getting stronger in it. With this method you should still allow your body complete rest once in while, just go with how your body feels. This worked from getting my bench up from 315 to 340! I’d love to have a bottle of hot-rox.
More isn’t always better, sometimes more is just more!!! Take a day off and read a book.
More HotRox is always better though.
For healthy shoulders, make sure to train the rotator cuffs. Also, the best exercises for biceps are weighted chins.
Hot-Rox por favor.
If deadlifts aren’t part of your program now, make them a part.
I’d like some mag-10.
Don’t train through nagging injuries! Seems simple enough, but I, along with countless others have had to learn the hard way. If you are hurt, you need to rest or go to the doctor/chiro.
Red Kat please!
As with other muscle groups you need to hit the abs with heavy weight too, instead of relying on hundreds of crunches to do the job, I need the Mag-10.
If you really want big powerful triceps try reverse-grip bench presses in a rack.
Place hands on bar with palms facing your head, back of hands toward knees. Take a shoulder width grip. Not too narrow or wide!!! The reverse grip will activate the triceps more, chest less and make the long head of the triceps grow! Use the same prtocols and advice from Rack Lockouts in Exercises youv’e never tried, Vol. 8 in this week’s issue by Chris Shugart and TC. I have found the safety of the rack allows me to go all out, even to failure with complete confidence, because I won’t get crushed. Go heavy, do multiple sets and feel the incredible pump.
I would like to try the new Mag10.
Make sure your training applies to your goal. If you’re a competitive athlete, remember you need skill work in addition to strength and stamina, which adds another factor you havta add into the recovery equation. And if your program works, stick with it…variety is good, but schizophrenia isn’t.
I’d like Hot Rox
Do not wear a thong when doing ATG squats, commando is better choice.
Do not wear cross trainers to do back squats due to height of heel. Chucks or barefoot will help improve the poundages you can move.
Hot Rox please.
Write down your short and longterm workout goals and read them before every workout to keep your workouts intense and your mind focused.
I would love to try some Hot Rox.
If you hate cardio, do power snatches instead. There’s something about throwing weight up over your head to give you a feeling of satisfaction. Who said weight lifting doesn’t get your heart rate up?
I want to try the RedKat.
Back in high school I used to be a slow discus thrower. Once I began to focus on doing natural GHR’s, my speed increased dramatically. I did them 3x a week. One day I would do negatives, sets of 5, lowering as slow as possible and pushing myself all the way up. The next time I would start at the bottom and have my partner call “go” as I exploded up. Again, keep the reps in the 4-6 range. Finally, on the third day I did 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps for some hypertrophy. This really increased my speed.
I’d like to try some Hot Rox, please.
