alright so ive been on fortesta gel for almost 3 years. 6 pumps a day. my insurance decided to stop covering and i have been without for about a week.
i am starting to feel horrible already. is this normal? is there anything i can do until next week to help.
any advice or experiences greatly appreciated!
I have been on Fortesta as well for I think two years now, 2 pumps a day. When I hit a high total T level at a blood test, I tried backing off the dose to one pump per day and my levels plummeted dramatically. I can only imagine what going from 6 pumps per day to zero must feel like…
My endo was able to give me coupons/promotions through the manufacturer that lasted a year each time and kept the cost manageable. Now, they are covered by my insurance, but even when they weren’t, I was able to get by with these promos.
i have those but its still 500 a bottle. i have some test e. i might just inject to keep me going for now. gonna call the endo and see what he says

Really???
When it wasn’t covered by insurance, I was paying in the neighborhood of $70-$120 per bottle (not cheap, but not $500 either!!!).
I had a red Fortesta card that I had to activate before taking it to the pharmacist to fill the prescription. Is this what you have?
Prior to taking Fortesta, and before consulting an endo, I was getting injections every 2-4 weeks that were completely covered by my insurance. Better than nothing, but the gel works much better for me (more consistent T levels, no “crash”).
