I am referring to the chains of self deceit. The ultimate sin. Having blind faith in a religion devoid of all logic is evidence of self deceit.

Ya know what I have started to believe more and more regarding why people believe…fear, but not out of some fire and brimstone place. Fear of the idea that there may not be anything besides the lives we are living and they are afraid to think of the idea that when it ends, that could be it and there is nothing else.

HAHAHAH! That was a brilliant point! Bravo! Christianity all boils down to mental weakness.

Just the opposite. As I pointed out to you earlier it takes greater strength to forgive and love than it does to hold a grudge and hate. The great Christians of history went to ther deaths at the hands of hateful people, in a very brave way. They died rather than renounce Christ.

Sorry you are incorrect at least in my case. It would be much easier if I believed that to be the case. I have no fear of not existing, what’s so scary about that? But since I know there is a God and he gave his one and only son Jesus Christ to die for my sins then it would be wrong and quite sinful to turn my back on this great gift.
God has a plan for my life and each day upon rising I say thank you Lord for another day. He also has a plan for your life as well.

So, you feel that you are not preaching to us, but you have declared yourself the official person who gets to define “the ultimate sin?”
You also mention about “your bible?”
Are you sure you aren’t suggesting you are a divine individual?
Is this not just one link in your “chain of self deceit?” Have you committed “the ultimate sin” according to your own definition?
Dear boy, one needs boots to avoid stepping in the bullshit you are providing.

Everywhere you go you deviate from topic… You are like a debate cancer… Though it pains me, I’ll humor your debate of semantics. My bible is referring to the text that I use as a general guidance. It is not the same as “The Christian Bible” so I felt the need to clarify that to avoid confusion… Some were still confused. That should basically clear up the rest of your pile of semantics. Digressing… Back to topic!

OK a couple of points on this response…
“but since I know there is a god and he gave his one and only son”<----No you dont know. Thats why its called faith. Belief without proof. You dont know just like a muslim doesnt know Allah is real. You believe and you believe based on very flimsy “evidence”. If you really did know then I would know, everyone on this forum would know, everyone on the planet would know and there would be no wars, fighting or violence based on religion because there would be nothing to fight over. Everyone would know what the answer was. We know that the world is flat. There is no debate about that because we have real evidence and it can be demonstrated. The fact that we are having this talk is enough proof of that.
What kind of god sends his son to die for crimes he did not commit? How much sense would it make if I killed a person and you were arrested and punished for it? On that note, if he did in fact, die for our sins then why are humans born with original sin? Shouldnt we all start with a clean slate? What the hell was the point of the sacrifice if you start off in the hole and still need to repent for everything you do wrong in life?

Good? Have you ever stolen anything? If so you’re a thief. Have you ever lied about anything? If so you’re a liar. And on and on…And you think that a perfect God will accept you in heaven? How can a liar and a thief go to heaven?
There’s only one way, and that is accepting Christ’s great sacrifice on the cross. He died for your sins so that you wouldn’t have to rely on being “good” because as flawed human beings we can never be good enough.

You have blind faith in yourself, your senses are easily manipulated. Your thoughts mean nothing, life means nothing, everything perception, nothing more than a chemical reaction.
So you are just asmuch a fool as anyone who believes in a sky god, or scientific evidence or themselves as their own God.
Nothing is certain, nothing is real, nothing is measurable. The world is only what your conscience tells you it is.

HAHAHAH OMG YES! I love it! This is such a refreshing step in the right direction! Take notes christians, this one is at the very least trying to use his brain.
Funny you say that as I stated in the other thread, I am a christian.
But I am also A subject matter expert for a large pharmacuetical company, dealing with the FDA, EU and other regulatory bodies.
I have a strong background in recombinant genomics, immunochemical interactions and neuropsychopharmacology.
Faith is part of life, no matter what you profess to believe or not believe there is some element of faith, some degree of unknown and uncertainty.
As moral rational animals, we must rationalize this gap.
there is a reason for the science bit, in much of my research, given the underlying genetics and correlating data, I find that this world is too precise for randomness. There is definitely an underlying driver/controller.
But that is my perspective, you are entitled to you opinion as well. And we are entitled not to be forced to change our opinions, that is what set america apart, what used to make it great. But we have these people that want to use the government to push their agenda’s, whether christian, muslim, gay, union, anything. And in America it was not intended that way. The only purpose of the government was to protect the natural rights of it’s citizen’s. And now, because of this progressive gradual transformation in our government, you are forced to hear what other want you too, because it might offend them if you aren’t forced to.
You are not even debating about anything anymore… Your a dog just trying to bite a bigger dog… Your debate is nothing more than a attack on my person founded in nihilism. Say something relevant to the debate present and I will be GLAD to debate with you. I enjoy debates and heated altercations myself. I however do not enjoy even acknowledging those who are merely trying to get a rise out of myself. I say this all while biting my tongue very hard.
Its horribly tragic that I have to keep saying this but… DIGRESSING!

Not true my friend. My faith is based on a multitude of real evidence which gives me the faith to know that there is indeed a God. Because YOU have not seen this strong evidence does not mean that it does not exist.
If one person knows then everyone knows? Tell me how does that work? Jesus Christ walked this earth and he came NOT to unite but to divide. Have you read the Bible?
How do you know the world is not flat? Because you’ve been told? Or you’ve seen pictures which have been doctored? Okay, okay don’t fall off your chair I do not believe that the world is flat. But keep in mind most of what you KNOW you’ve either been told and retold so you think it’s true. Or, you’ve done a minor bit of study on the topic and think it’s true. In reality you really don’t know much. You take it all on faith.
Are you at all familiar with the sin sacrifice 5000 years ago? Probably not. But the short answer is a God who would do that loves us very much.
We must first accept Christ as our savior before we are saved of our sins. Have you accepted Christ as your savior? Do you know where you are going when you die? You are one heart beat away from eternity, it’s really something you should think about my friend.
