The absence of BO during this event is extremely telling.
BO is showing the world we will cower at the sign of ANY agression. Especially if you are Muslim. Muslims get a free pass because we won’t take a chance of offending them in any way.
I expect that after BO pays Pirates with TARP funds, he will issue an apology for our high seas arrogance.

The captain actually escaped, and was in the water…but our Navy did noting. He had to return to the lifeboat…because we did NOTHING. That lifeboat should have went down in flames the second he escaped.
At least the crew and captain still have some American PRIDE and a fighting sprit against tyranny. How let down do you think he felt as we nothing as he risked his life trying to escape??

Exactly, I read in the NY POST today that they are out of fuel and food so they are trying to negotiate. My reactionary blow them out of the water aside, no fuel and food might work. Of course it might lead to desperation, but the SEALS might go if needed.
Even though they are great, these things are still very tricky.

not to support the current inaction we have atm which is terrible.
in the navy’s defense. the captain jumped into the water at midnight and returned to the boat after they started shooting at him. not because we did nothing. the whole situation happened in minutes, you can not move a destroyer into action that fast.
they did not expect him to be jumping.
also, these dudes have nothing to lose, they executed a french hostage they had when the french moved in with force.
you can assume the navy does not want to repeat this. no one should.

Well if the Navy had orders, they followed them…it was to stand down.
It matters not that it was midnight nor that it was unexpected. The Navy should be EXPECTING the unexpected.
We are a castrated military now, and it’s very evident. 4 navy seals could have gutted these guys in 5 seconds without a sound.
Shit, why doesn’t he just levitate to the ship. Wearing a purple cape, with Gene Simmons boots, a Viking war helmet, and brandishing a dagger. Arrive on the ship to confront the pirates attacking them with pursasive speeches. You know to calmfully bring the situation to an end while reminding the world that he is the Messiah.
