Obama's 'Citizen Army'

In case you had any doubt. Obama and his minions intend to “rule” not govern. Big difference, especially if you disagree with the ruler.

Imagine if a Republican had said “rule the country”? The media would destroy them.

One of the disciples says it…no problem.

By the way they are scrubbing the transition website. Wonder why?

WADDA SHOCK!!!

All these little slips of the tongue should be very telling, but they won’t be to the loyal subjects.

If you truly believe that they would attack or even seriously annoy their biggest customer you are insane.

So far they are doing everything in their power to prevent the American economy from imploding, not that they had any chance of being successful.

Attack their biggest customer? No.

Foreclose on their biggest deadbeat borrower? Maybe.

maybe, but even that would seriously hurt them.

Until they stop pegging their currency to ours. But it would still hurt them because we buy so much of their crap.

No doubt many of those hours will include political indoctrination and education.

From the website:

The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation?s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

Hedo, if you follow the link, it does not say what you quoted.

Below is a quote from the link you provided:

Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

Don’t know if they changed it, but that is what is up on the site linked.

Thanks. Either way, I can’t ever see Obama, or anyone else for that matter, pushing legislation that “requires” community service. It would never pass. He may end up trying to develop incentives for it, though.

Like giving a college student $4000 dollaros for x hours of service? I wouldn’t be surprised if schools raised tuition by about $4000 on average shortly after that piece of legislation went through.

It’s funny that in only days his website description has completely changed. I was arguing with a friend over the subject and he says to me “It doesn’t say required, I don’t know where you’re getting your info.” To which I reply “his fucking website!!!” …Well needless to say, maybe Obama himself saw an issue with requiring community service.

I think Obama himself wrote that on the website! There’s no way it could have simply been a staffer’s mistake! Obama is going to “Rule” not govern!!! He’s a Tyrant! We’re all gunna die!

Yes as others noted it was changed after a lot of this stuff hit the news. That’s why I wanted to quote it.

The gun control ideas were particularly alarming.

Maybe he means he won’t try to pass that assault weapons ban. Oh wait, that would make too much sense.

Along those lines…does anyone else find it amusing that the whole point of the 2nd amendment is for us, USA citizens, to protect ourselves; yet the very weapons (assault weapons, full automatics, etc) that do that job the best aren’t legal for lawful citizens to own?

Well, look at it this way: If you want to take out a loan, and your credit is a bit overextended, your creditor is going to demand that you put up some collateral. The United States has put up millions of acres of public (Bureau of Land Management) land as collateral against the money borrowed from China.

If the US defaults on these loans, which it likely will, the Chinese will have every right to occupy these formerly US lands. You know, to “protect their investment.”

I don’t think the US will default on any of its loans. We have never done so in the past, and as shitty as things look right now, it would be a drop in the bucket compared to the US defaulting on anything. The world would cease to exist.

The bonds are backed by the full faith and credit of the US government. No collateral. China assumed the risk up front.

Besides, the best China could do would be to destroy us - not a very smart move if you are looking to protect an investment.

This could be a way out of Chinese debt. We let them have the land, then take it back for cheap using imminent domain.

No government has ever paid back its debts.

No fiat currency has ever not defaulted.

No republic has ever survived the idea that some people could vote themselves rich.

Look around you.
