Obama vs. Fox News

Why not?

Among the “intelligentsia,” this simply marks her as one of the group.

Oh I don’t know. They can’t keep capitulating to Beck and remain credible with their base.

http://gregnmary.gotdns.com:8080/index.php/topic,85.0.html

He is doing a great job of documenting all the America hating enemies in this administration.

An interesting juggling act: remaining credible with the Moveon.org’ers, the Democratic Underground’ers, the Daily Kos’ers, the Huffington Post’ers, etc, and say at least 40% of the remainder of the American people at the same time.

You have to give it up to Beck, he is really calling out these czars and people who Obama is appointing, and then questioning why they are appointed with video of beyond controversial stuff. Normally I might call someone a quack for such allegations, but when you back it up with video and audio, it’s just hard to ignore at that point.

Beck is without a doubt the most ballsy guy in the entire media.

The whitehouse “RED” phone thing was utterly brilliant. Puts them firmly squeezed between a rock and a hard place.

When I heard Beck describe that all I could think of was, sheer genius. There is no better way to call their bluff than this particular tactic.

I was smiling and nodding. If they actually use it they lay themselves open to the charge of falling headlong into a Beck controlled string pulling festival AND whatever came over that phone BETTER check out or it’s twice as bad for them. If they don’t use it, it’s tantamount to a passive admission that his research is correct.

There is no escape. Beck’s people have personally and directly talked to the Whitehouse and made it known that they are the only one’s with that number and that they are invited, even during a live show, to call that number and correct any falsehood he may be conveying. They can’t say they didn’t know about it either.

What they’ll wind up doing is poo pooing it as a publicity stunt and unworthy of their consideration. Now if he were as brilliant as me (tongue in cheek) he’d say something demonstrably false and outrageous… like presenting a fake incriminating Obama birth certificate or something. Something they absolutely could not ignore thus inducing them to call that phone at least once. Just once. Then he could confess to his trickery and ask why then they hadn’t called about anything else.

I’m just waiting for one of these political morons here to say that they aren’t even watching Beck because he doesn’t matter.

Exactly, you can’t call a guy a conspiracy loon when he hangs people with their own writings and actual audio and video.

I am now officially a Beck fan. I don’t give a shit who thinks what about that. He is by far the best “connect the dots” around. What’s funny is, everything he says is pretty much out in the open. There’s no back room conspiracy here, he just points it out. Even John Kennedy would be absolutely aghast at what his party now considers their own. If he only knew.

What this government does not understand, is that there is some point where it becomes intolerable. There will be a time where people are finally sick and tired to say enough is enough. That is when I will become fearful.

Say him 2 days after my birthday and three days after my kids with my dad and my twins. he speaks the truth and hangs the libs with their words. Thank God Fox gives him a chance to speak their truth and throw their truth in their faces.

Today’s “Well, No Shit!” Moment:

White House boasts: We ‘control’ news media
Communications chief offers shocking confession to foreign government

TEL AVIV â?? President Obama’s presidential campaign focused on “making” the news media cover certain issues while rarely communicating anything to the press unless it was “controlled,” White House Communications Director Anita Dunn disclosed to the Dominican government at a videotaped conference.

“Very rarely did we communicate
through the press anything that we didn’t absolutely control,” said Dunn.

“One of the reasons we did so many of the David Plouffe videos was not just for our supporters, but also because it was a way for us to get our message out without having to actually talk to reporters,” said Dunn, referring to Plouffe, who was Obama’s chief campaign manager.

FOX is the only outfit that does it’s own work and refuses this manipulation which is why I predict that the adversarial nature of their relationship with this government will grow. It also demonstrates that there is consciousness remaining in the public because FOX is manhandling every other news outlet in the ratings by quite a bit. It’s always comical listening to people rail on FOX and when pressed all they know about them is what either some leftist website or resentful competitor has said.

Not that it’s a surprise that most of the media: CBSNCBABCPBSCNNMSNBC are basically Dem lapdogs, but it should scare the shit out of anyone paying attention that an administration would have so much control over how the media covers an administration-- hether one supports the administration-of-the-moment or not.

Of course, we will only hear how FOXNEWS is biased. All that illustrates to me is that those people are:

 1. Unaware of how desensitized they’ve become to the well measured and documented bias of the major media outlets, and/or

 2. People have lost their ability to objectively evaluate the information presented to them (ie. they just ‘drink the Kool-aid’).

This situation is especially dispicable given the ‘promises’ of transparency that were given by this administration.

Standard leftist methodology, but anybody afflicted with the leftist mindset in the first place will puzzle over why this is a big deal and continue to view FOX as biased simply for not being onboard. Ya gotta love this Dunn woman though huh? I’m thinking a bit of reeducation may be in order for her. Didn’t anybody ever tell her that these tactics are not supposed to be publicly declared? Her and Biden should have gotten married.

No doubt and yes.

FOX (again) was playing clips of him during the campaign promising the most transparent administration since the revolution and how all bills would be posted for public consumption before being moved on blah blah blah. When Helen Thomas is whining about transparency to an ultra liberal administration you can be pretty sure you’re being played, but when the Whitehouse communications director tells you you’re being played all possible doubt should have been therewith removed. Just hang on though, our buddies should be along shortly to straighten us out about how we’re the ones being snowed.

Something tells me we could possibly see a water gate 2.

To declare war on the biggest news agency in America is pretty close to signing your own political death warrant.

I know I have a different mindset than many, but personally I think he is a pussy for avoiding critics. He has the toughest job in all the world, which he ran for, and he is so fragile that he cannot stand toe to toe with people who disagree with him. I think if he actually did talk to those on Fox, he might actually gain more respectability, but he knows he won’t be able to fend off the intelligence that Fox brings.

I can only imagine…

Glen Beck: Mr. President, thank you for coming onto my show.

Obama: My pleasure Glen, what would you like to discuss?

Glen Beck: Why did you put Van Jones, a known communist, into the White House?

Obama: (Silence)… (Squirming)…(looks into the camera with blank look).

Glen Beck: Mr. President, is this thing on? Did you hear me? Should I cough on you?

Nope. Different time, different administration. Nixon bad. Obama good. The love-fest will continue.

In fact, after a quick survey of the major media outlets’ online stories, the only mention of ‘Dunn’ is on CNN with a headline proclaiming something to the effect that (paraphrasing) ‘Dunn responds to Beck’.

Not that an almost “Mussolini-esqe” control of the media is news worthy (or permissible for publication by the Administration).
