PETA… lol… The scientology of animal rights.
why dont they put more time and energy into stopping dog fighting instead of worrying about a fucking fly!

Some of these PETA nut-jobs seriously believe the world would be a better place without people. They literally hate humanity. The logical extension of their philosophy is that they should all commit suicide and stop contaminating the planet.
Now I’m no PETA member, but in terms of the environment, the world probably would be a better place if we weren’t here. Likewise, I don’t generally kill bugs (except mosquitos and roaches) but that’s because I feel sorry for them, does that mean I’m too compassionate?

Yes, we as humans leave a mess of the places we inhabit. We do need to be more responsible in that regard. But PETA takes the extreme stance which is not only unreasonable, but often backfires their good intentions. If they focused on valid issues within the rights for animals campaign, more people would be on board and the message would be broader in terms of creating an environment of reasonable change.
But all their nit-picking over silly particulars like the recent “sea-kittens” campaign, and now this “The President is an insect murderer” idiocy only sabotages any attempt at valid animal rights efforts.
Wait, are flies even technically animals?
Fly’s arent animals so why does PETA care.
I say we send termites to the PETA headquarters and see if they let them humanely live there.
Agreed 100%, which is why I’m no PETA member

Because if you are dumb enough to join PETA, then you aren’t nearly smart enough to know something like this.
so where does peta draw the line?
they shouldnt use soap either because they will be killing bacteria which is technically a living organism.
just kidding, everyone knows PETA members dont use soap.
im sure peta memebers are in mcdonalds drive thru on the way to work daily having an undercover cheeseburger

Or grizzly bears.

Then what the hell are they?

The world does not have any intrinsic value without man to give it value. It is only the use of the resources of the world to further the life of man that allows it to have value. What man creates from the environment to further the life of man is what gives the “environment” value.

insects or bugs.
like you wouldnt call H1N1 an animal but it’s still alive
cancer is a living thing too, so does that mean PETA supports cancer?

But insects are part of the animal kingdom – unless classification has changed since I went to school.

Actually, since H1N1 is a virus, it isn’t living as viruses aren’t considering to be living. Like someone said before, in technical terms, a fly is an animal, but there are way to many insects out there to even be caring about them.
No but flies are.

There’s a difference between cellular organisms and viruses and an actually living, breathing animal. That’s a false analogy.
My sister joined PETA a couple years back and started being a stupid bitch about shit like this. Then my husband and I pointed out to her that according to PETA she was a monster due to her enslavement of a beagle which she kept around as entertainment.
She told me I was full of shit, and then called me a few days later to apologize because PETA is very much anti-pet, and that they were a bunch of nutjobs. I still laugh every time I see some stupid cunt on TV preaching about PETA while holding a little dog as an accessory. People should find out what an organization stands for before they get involved with it.
I wonder how many PETA members are vegetarians. I wonder how many have there pets protected against heartworms and fleas. lmao
