So i think I’m allergic to oats as I become breathless on consumption of porridge and feel very bloated… Nasal breathing is difficult…
Anyway, I was wondering if i could use another complex carb in a blender along with hemp protein powder?
Could I use a form of barley?
Thanks

yer, if your asking in a shop it’s pronounced “key-noah”. Also, you sure its the oats doing it? you’re not lactose intolerant and using milk on 'em?
Buckwheat is another alternative.

Yes pretty certain its oats and oatmeal, i always use water with porridge…
The shake i made was 1.5 cups of oatmeal, 3 cups of water and 60 grams of hemp protein. It tasted pretty nice but I always seem to feel ill after consumption of oats…
I just bought some barley flakes that can be consumed cold and supposed to be low in gluten as well as being made up of a different type of gluten… gonna substitute that for the oats
Thanks for the suggestion of quinoa… do you mean in the form of flakes for the purpose of mixing in a blender, or normal quinoa grain?
Potato flour, Palatinose - if making a liquid meal.
Potato/sweet - potato if having solid food.
