I have been trying to come up with a good recipe for an oatmeal shake. I have been trying different shakes adding 1 cup of raw steel cut oats, and I have yet to find something that works. You guys know of anything?
I used to do this but got sick of having to eat the slurry left at the end of the shake.
Now I pretty much start every day with the same shake.
3 scoops protein powder
1/3cup mixed berries
1/3cup oats.
Chuck it all in the blender with water and a few ice cubes to help it combine and done. I’d go as high as 1/2cup of oats but no more, because the more oats added, the more water need to keep the consistency drinkable. Years ago I was downing huge shakes because of this but I don’t like the ‘too full’ feeling so don’t do it anymore.
If you don’t think that’s enough oats, just microwave the rest and eat it after as porrige.
use the search there are a ton of posts on this. lots of people like to add it to whey powder.
I add oatmeal to my shakes all the time. Usually i add whey and milk as usual and maybe some yogurt or something but the ingredient that gives your shake such a distinctive taste is CINNAMON.
You’ve got to try it!
Whats wrong with that?
I always start my day with a cup of oats, a scoop of Grow! and milk :).

Well, when I make my shakes with one cup raw oats, it seems to suck out any moister in sight. As a result, I end up using like 4 cups of milk just so I can drink the shake and not have it too thick. You do not have these problems?
I’m no big dude…but I’m making progress. Not enough to post pictures, I’ve learned from reading for the last few months.
Anyways, I drink this twice daily (and it doesn’t taste bad):
2 scoops Metabolic Drive, Low Carb (Choc Milk)
A 12oz cup of Ice
12 oz of water
A little (little!) dusting of powdered Skim Milk (cheap and adds a little flavor)
Oats (about half an inch worth inside the blender)
Creatine Powder
A Spoonful of Natural Peanut Butter
…blend it. It tastes like a chocolate milkshake…mostly… and gets you what you need.
On top of this, I try and eat oatmeal once a day.
Bump
Question
half a cup of raw oats add some chocolate whey microwave 4 about a minute then add more whey to cool it down and and make it more runny - I usually then add a little honey 4 taste, lovely stuff.
Or u can throw some nuts in the blender as well and have them with it, it’s all good!!!

Actually yeah I do, its not really a shake. I need a spoon haha. I drink about the first fifth or so and then the rest is a pile of oats. Regardless it still tastes good.
