NYC Council Votes to Ban Weight Discrimination

Certainly a “socialist” will infiltrate the democratic party and try to do something about it. Bernie Sanders is an example of one of those people.

I think it’s best to be a little be optimistic. Corporations have contempt for ordinary people too. It’s really weird how that works considering corporations consist of mostly ordinary people.

I’d be comfortable betting that unless housing prices drop or the interest rates drop significantly, that rent is going to go up.

Housing has gotten way more expensive in the last two years due to the interest rates. Purchase prices have gone down slightly, but that so far hasn’t made much of a difference in the monthly mortgage payment.

In my area, a starter home is typically going to result in a 30 year mortgage that is north of $2500 a month. Landlords know many tenants don’t have the option to buy a house. They will raise rates to match the housing market.

IDK what a cultural Marxist is? I’d say for the most part they don’t care what others do if it doesn’t impact them. Maybe that is what you mean?

I don’t agree with the hedonist part. I think many are not indulging in the things they think others should be allowed to do.

For the most part. I think most liberals would support things like a social security net, and moving to a single payer health care system, but they would be okay with unequal outcomes, and rewarding merit.

What issues?

Giving everyone a cheap nice house in a good area? Lol.

When things are given to people they usually don’t respect or take care of them. Look at section 8 housing.

Then they should get kicked out/charged with crime/lose privilege to affordable housing and there should be laws put in place in regards to taking care of the property.

Kind of like how if you’re an idiot with driving you could have your driving privileges taken away.

Or just like how landlords (private owners) kick out crappy tenants.

This is a huge issue I have with them. They don’t mind what others do so long as it doesn’t affect them while not caring how it affects others and society or humanity at large. They like a lot of liberal policies but then when the policies hit them, all of the sudden they change their tunes!

And they are completely incapable of understanding how very few consequential actions in life don’t affect others.

For eighty years people have been waiting to see all the benefits of liberal attitudes and liberal policies while observing all the damage they’ve done. Eighty years.

James Lindsay has put out a lot of stuff on cultural Marxism. I just googled the term to look up more stuff. Several sites show references to it as being an anti-Semitic conspiracy. That’s actually news to me (being serious) considering even some Jews (me being one of them) and philo-Semites speak about it.

I didn’t put it the right way. More so the stance that the typical libertarian takes in regards to social issues. The “your right to swing your arms ends at my nose” type thing. I’d say that you could modify that phrases ending to “ends when you likely will hit my nose”, and that would be satisfactory to most.

So for social issues objective harm would have to be shown in order to pass laws that limit freedoms.

Then where does one go to live?Gov housing is kind of the last resort before homeless/transient.

Does government pay for cars and make sure you have a nice affordable reliable one?

After her initial tirade against the pro life booth i didn’t think she’d suffer any real world negative consequences .. when i saw she held a machete to a dudes neck i thought charges bc that’s clearly assault with intent .. I’m actually surprised she got fired

How do corporations make money?

What effects do regulations / government controls have on the markets in terms of producers, investors, and consumers?

Reading through your posts here and in other threads, you make it seem as though you have no clue what you’re talking about

No, luckily we have public transportation for those that do not have cars.

A car is different from a house.

Not everywhere has public transportation lol.

Owning a car and owning a house are both privileges not rights.

That really needs to change. Housing and a vehicle should be a right.

Lmao!!!

No.

Yes Bauber!!! YES!!!

Only if I can run the programs.

Just more leftist bs

I am not opposed to shelter being a right with some caveats. A vehicle, no.
