Nutrition in a Blender with Vegetables

I’m looking at some of my carb requirements and the amout I have to eat in one sitting is quite large. Has anyone tried using a blender and puting say like a full package of kale or spinach or whatever in a blender and have that with your protein. Any ideas would be great
Thanks

Yes, lots of people blend their fruits and veggies into smoothies.

What are your requirements?

A few things. While kale and other greens are a great thing to add to your diet, the amount of carbs in them is minimal. You shouldn’t think of these as a carb source for hitting your macros, more as something for general health.

Second, jasmine rice (at least the kind I buy) has nearly twice the calories and carbs as regular white rice…yet I find it no more filling.

Lastly, throwing greens into a regular blender probably won’t yield anything too appetizing (this depends on what you’re mixing). I just got a Nutribullet (about $90) and it’s great. Chops up pretty much anything you put in it into a smoothie consistency (no chunks of greens). Made a shake with protein powder, kale, spinach, ginger, apple, banana and berries…it was delicious.

I have 2-3 shakes a day that are composed of:

2 cups unsweetened almond milk
2 scoops protein powder
1 piece of fruit
1 giant handful of veggies (spinach, kale, celery, peppers, etc. Can’t taste it at all)
2 tbsp of nuts or nut butter

This is on top of 3 meals, with breakfast being HUGE.

Breakfast:
-4 eggs
-8 oz of meat
-3/4 cup cooked carbs (~1 serving of rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, cream of rice, buckwheat, etc)
-2 handfuls of veggies
-1 piece of fruit
-1-2 tbsp of coconut or olive oil

Started off taking me 30-40 minutes to eat this. Over the course of a month, I’m down to about 15 minutes.

And then 2 more meals.

To be honest, the eating is harder than the training lol. Get used to it
