Nothing Fancy

And I want more of course

I like the look of figure as well but not all the girly stuff that goes with. [/quote]

I wanna see your half sleeve!

Yeah I despise the girly stuff…the fake shit like doing the gay constant smile and shit but just once I’d like to walk on stage and feel confident…and like I actually WANT to smile. Having him with me right before I go on might help some. I also think I’ll refrain from having my family and friends come this time so if I have to smile and wave all cheesey I won’t feel like they’re laughing at me lol!

One Arm DB Row 15-12-10-8

God its hard getting back into it. I found my log books from the first time I did a competition and decided to just follow that since I’m opting out of having a formal “coach” for this go around.

Question for you guys since I’ve never done olympic lifting. My cousin is heading up a training class for this and he asked if I wanted to come check it out. I really want to but how could that fit in with my current training? Can I just view it as something extra I’m doing for my body and concentrate way more on technique and form rather than amount of weight? I don’t want to overdo it for myself but I want to see what its all about…

Hey Mama!

First off, congrats on getting back into the competing! You’ve got a sick, tight, strong and lean physicque - perfectly suited for figure!

And having trained with you on “leg day,” I know that your splits are no fucking joke! So i’ll be interested in following along. Every once in a while I like to switch things up to BB-style training, so I’ll just cut and paste your shit. lol!

I say totally go for the Oly training sesh!!

  1. its always good to have more tools in your toolbox. Even if you don’t plan on using them now, knowing how to properly do the Oly lifts could benefit you in the futre

  2. Oly lifts like hang cleans, hang snatches, push presses, front squats make for great complexes that you can use as finishers or on off days. Even using light weights they can get you ripped! My fave BB complex is 5x6: hang cleans → push press → front squat → GMs → RDls → BBRow. If I could marry this complex I would.

  3. once you learn Oly lifts you can easily parlay that into other lifts like single arm stuff with Dbs or kettlebells.

Kill it bitch!

I was hoping you would drop in and give me some advice!!

And btw…I’m thinking early december to come back and visit NY…you gonna be around?

That was so fun when we trained together!

Tuesday-Chest

incline press 4x10
pec dec machine 4x15

Not my best workout but Irish and I were short on time so I had to rush before the gym closed. I’m wanting to try the olympic lifting thing tonight but I feel so guilty since my house is a disaster and I have like 5 loads of laundry to do :frowning: Decisions, decisions…

how did i miss this!?

I am SO in on this log, momma! <3

Did you end up doing the ultra that you were training for?

I DID!!! It was amazing but its not something I would do again. But the experience was not like anything I could have prepared myself for.

I’m not gonna lie…I’m having a hard time training. This mono is just hanging on and I’m sleeping waaaay too much. But I got about 12 hours last night so I’m feeling pretty good and hoping to hit the gym tonight.

I hear the fatigue from mono can be a bitch to deal with. You are doing very well to get training time in.

Yeah but its so sporadic…I hate that one day I feel fine and the next I feel like a truck hit me lol!

I agree! I’m not sure I’d be able to motivate even in the least knowing that I was getting over mono. You are a far, FAR better woman than I!

I’m glad you took the training btw! At least you checked it out and now you can say that you know its not for you.

I am arrive!

I bring adoration and a bit of perversion.

How ya feeling today, lady? Kickin’ arse on back and bi’s…holy tri-set!!! Im stealing. I suck at doing bicep work. Evidence in my extremely unimpressive biceps.

Oh…I luh you!

fatigue suuuuucks.

Masch-I didn’t end up going to the Oly lifting thing with my cousin :frowning: Way too tired!

Hall-just imagine…your perversion and my perversion combined…we shall be SUPERperversion

Dash-I feel pretty good except for I did something to my left bicep…I thought it was tendonitis cuz I was feeling it in my elbow and kinda radiating around but then last night I went to do back & bi’s and couldn’t finish my triset cuz the actual bicep hurt so bad :frowning: I’m a fuckin mess. I had a sleeve on and everything and was still having pain. I went home and iced it but I’m not real pleased with this little development…I’m wondering what I should do now??

It does…you would know unfortunately MiM. Its so hard to function when you’re tired. Everything seems “worse” ya know?

lol, yep. pretty much.

its been so long I don’t even know what ‘normal,’ feels like. Hopefully that will end SOON for us both. How is your other coping?

He’s worse off than I am! The amount he sleeps is unreal! He’s usually ok for the first couple days of the week but then it catches up to him and he crashes hard on thursday nights. And then for the rest of the week into the weekend he’ll do only what he “has” to. Thank god his football season is almost over. This team he’s coaching has the biggest douche as a head coach…their practice field is unusable so he had to scramble to find a local field to use…only problem is that for the past month and half the only time they had access to a field was at 5am! The kids and the coaches are beat :frowning:
