Non-Sensitive Estradiol Test Completely Useless?

Unfortunately, the sensitive test is completely unavailable in my country.
My e2 came back at around 43 pg/ml… I don’t know how accurate that is. If I were to go by my symptoms I wouldn’t really know because my symptoms could be either high or low estrogen.

Its hard to decipher when you first start out, but there are definitely some absolutes.

  1. Gyno/ Itchy Nipples. If you have this, your E2 is too high.

  2. Dry cracking skin/lips Dry/Creaking Joints. This is low e2.

What symptoms are you having? What is your protocol like? What is your SHBG?

I only use that test.

I’m pretty sure if you had access to the sensitive E2 labs or the ultra sensitive test, you would see it lower than stated. It’s probably closer to 30 pg/mL.

The first high E2 symptoms I get is watery eyes when excited or watching slightly sad movies that wouldn’t normally provoke tears, next is anxiety and super jumpy at loud noises.

Not necessarily. Mine are within 10-15% of one another.

At 43 pg/ml with the IA method, it may not be that high, but it is a good bet you’re not low E2.

I think from what you’ve said I have high estrogen, but whenever I take arimidex I just feel very shitty. (cracky joints, frequent urination, much worse anxiety and depression). When it comes to symptoms, having high estrogen is way better than low estrogen but then again i’d rather be normal.

I have increased fat around nipples, doesn’t look like gyno but I’ve been on nolvadex for a while and recently stopped (so no change in nipples). I definitely have cracked lips. When I took 0.25 mg of arimidex I found myself frequently urinating. I think I may be an over responder

I’m taking a test the day after I take 0.25mg of anastrozole just to see what happens and if my estrogen will change.

The last time I tested my SHBG I was at a 25 (16-55 range)
