As a new poster (and long time viewer) of this forum, there are a couple of things I have come to understand:
For now, my credibility/reputation is shit…it takes time and interaction to build rapport
This forum is a phenominal source of information for all things health and performance related (not just steroids) and many of the members here provide an unbelievable compendium of invaluable knowledge
Compared to many on this site, I know dick about steroids…and I have a BA in Communications from Stanford, a BS in Exercise Science from UCONN, am entering physical therapy school next fall, and have been researching steroids for 3 years.
This having been said, I am posting here just to give you vets the perspective of an outsider. Within 1 week of visiting the steroid forum, I was able to build a list of at least 10 sources and dozens of user names associated with the illicit purchase of steroids and other banned substances.
Were I any LE officer, gov’t official, etc. (which I am NOT…but only time and successive posts will prove that) I would have little difficulty in obtaining some very legitimate information for possible legal action.
Intellectual development and devotion to causes such as physical health are things I have come to respect and love. As such, I would not like to see a site such as this shut down or any of its members prosecuted.
Sorry for the long-winded post, but just my two cents…for what its worth.

Good post.

Agreed. I do support the petition but being in the UK does make a big difference for me. It’s no where near as much an issue for me as my friends elsewhere in the world.
Legally speaking we may be effectively protecting criminals, but it depends on your interpretation and stand point on the law and whether you agree with your countries take on AS.
Personally if I disagree enough with a particular law I will disregard it and also verbally and actively oppose it, and finally stand by my actions in court if it comes to that. Keyboard warrior maybe, but if any law enforcement people out there would like to take issue with my beliefs then PM me and I will provide my full credentials and you can try to kick my ass with any bullshit you care to try to throw at me.
It might just be me but I thought if you had a source you should keep it to yourself if you want it to keep it alive for the future.
I have never had a source for this simple reason, and I respect others for keeping their mouth shut. It does not help me out, but until people see the light and new laws are made keeping things quite is the best bet.
If you can find a source posted on a fourm or through a google search then so can the law makers. Simple logic.
Great Post Shwartz!
I’ve been lurking on this board for about 4yrs, but have not posted much (I prefer to read over posting any day). I have gathered a wealth of great information from this site on how to improve my body.
Having said that, I have also noticed as of late, that people seem to be asking for sources or posting names. I have always liked this site for its unbiased and no holds barred opinions. There are a number of great people that are willing to talk about the subject of AAS use and benifits.
I would hate to see these people go to a different site because of the actions of a few. So I whole heartedly support a ban on posting names and sources. I think that’s part of what makes this site standout from the other “sleazier” sites out there.
I guess to sum up this post I could say 2 sentences.
