You are probably right, they must be very disappointed when you are I answer then. LOL
Bourbon?
Usually Jamesons Irish Whiskey but been known to sip a little bit of bourbon now and again. Straight. My dad was a strick Jim Beam man.
Eat.
Lift.
Adjust as necessary.
For Godās sake, youāre over fifty and NOW you want peak performance right out of the gate?
Crappy day. Raining and cold. Had my Annual Medicare Wellness Visit. Whoopie. B/p 121/76, pulse 54, bw = 214 (up 2 pounds from last visit) and my oxygen level which they somehow measure with a clip on the finger = 95+. Doctor with his tablet went through the checklist. āany problems? No. Howās the shoulder holding up? Great? Ok, keep doing what your doing, see you in 3 months for the lab work.ā Iāve feel so much better now. After lunch made the trip to the Natatorium for the first time this year. Swam for 45 mins, didnāt even count the laps, more screwing around than a serious swim. Nothing like the sweet smell of chlorine.
If I wasnāt for Medicare annual stuff Iād have forgotten my primary care guyās name. He did tell me my hormones were perfect, for my age. He also recommended against trt.

Googled, many YT videos popped up. Amazing how much one can learn (in a purely informational sense of course) off the interwebz these days.
In High School Iād go to the library and check out articles on microfilm, make copies from magazines and books of anything there was on the throws. When I coach occassionally I tell the throwers, āGet on the internet, Iāve downloaded vids of throws from the 1912 Olympics. Itās all there.ā) Everytime I think I know it all someon else comes up with something new. Figure I may have to change my style when I hit 90.
Iām on zero meds and hope to stay that way as long as I can.

Kids today have no idea how lucky they are to have the internet, want to learn something google it. Spending 2/3 hours at the library trying to find an answer compared to now just asking Siri
Early - dojo/dojang, kata 3/4 hr, poomse, 1/2 hr, heavy bag 20 min.
So came on here today and saw the piece of cake next to my name. 15 years here. Place has change, lot more posters here in the Over 35. Went back as far as I could and found a couple of pix and even 2 vids. The vids were on a long forgot You tube account I had so i guess why the still showed up here. Not sure if these will show up but well see. My first appearance here, 2007. Think I was weighing in at around 240 then.
The next year, 2008 dropped a few pounds.

My first comp win on here, Senior Olympics 2008, 3x1st,

Back shot at 53, donāt know what we were discussing. Might have been scar tissue or why Iād never be a bodybuilder.

Trying the vids now: Must of been 2010 cause I was 55. Failure at 315 x 8 bench.
And said Iād do a 555 dead on my 55th birthday but miscalculated and did a 565.
Kind of a bittersweet walk through memory lane. Most of the guys from back then are gone but have been replaced some just as good. Been talking with DaCharmingAlbino the longest. Heās gotten stronger while Iāve gotten weaker. Back to the present.
My people become more handsome and stronger as we age, but start forgetting where we stow the whiskey. Tragic.
Happy cake day!!!
Cool trip down memory lane. Thanks for sharing. That 315 you had at least one more rep in you with a spotter just in case. Nice pull at 55 as well.
Really cool 3 x 1st place senior of medals.
Happy cake day.
Nice deadlifting, happy cake day.
Beast!
You handsome devil, itās obvious you curlz in the squat rack.
I thought your 325(?) clean was the most impressive lift I recall seeing.
